Son " Pâtre sur le rocher" de Schubert est à se pâmer, et son Isolde à contre-courant a démontré qu'on pouvait chanter Wagner autrement qu'en hurlant: en phrasant et modelant le son. Margaret Price: une valeur sûre à laquelle on n'a pas fini de se référer.
In 1981 I heard her voice for the first time when friend played the Solti recording for me. It was the most beautiful and most perfect sound I ever heard. God bless you Dame Margaret. ♥
I heard Price's Desdemona in Chicago nearly 25 years ago. She was superb, easily the best I've heard in this role. A shimmeringly beautiful sound, freely produced -- with splendid command of dynamics -- that easily filled the Lyric Opera house --
