@capriturbopower the 2.3 doesnt exsist in any ford outside the usa your was probally a 2.0s model. addmittedly gotta feel sorry for the owner, buys a new car. cop gets in an wrecks it in about 5 min.
Brilliant, they start off in the Shaftesbury Estate in Battersea. All the roads look the same there with victorian terraces and some gothic turrets, but I swear they drive past my front door on Eversleigh Road ... also down Latchmere Road cutting over the same white lines I cut on that bend near the railway bridge! Miraculously they then end up at Tower Bridge ... if only it were that quick a journey to SE1 !
@77allegro Also, In England to honk the horn. You have to press the turn signal. Ford in the USA & Canada did this but, I think it was kind of stupid to make an American car look English.
I'm sure there is a continuity problem in this film, as the sound of a V6 capri starts up before John Wayne actually gets in it! I should know, I've had eight Capri's, so the sound is familiar.
The actor sitting next to him is my cousin, Stewart Bevan. He also did Dr.Who and the green death

John Wayne on the streets of London, a terrific combination. Kinda inspired Demspey & Makepeace. Probably the best car chase in a UK produced film.

The Capri is a 3000 GT, the GT was only made for the first year of Mk2 production, before it was replaced with the S.
The Mk2 Jag is actually an S type, similar to the Mk2 but witha different rear end and independent rear suspension.
