The guitar does sound a lot like Snuff, but it could easily be a coincidence.

For instance, The Subway's own song, Holiday's main riff is virtually identical to the first thing my bestfriend ever wrote (except backwards).

He had no idea what this band was until I showed him 2 months ago (I myself just finding them at the time).

There's also Green Day's When It's Time and Treble Charger's Red, both songs with near identical verses, yet couldn't possible have influenced each other.
