OMFG I fought him and his 2nd form at lvl 18 =.= I survived thanks to Tellohs recall ability and the twins suddenly using Meteor. I was SHOCKED that Telloh's skill that he was SUPPOSED to learn was done by 2 twins.

They didn't cast Meteor, they must have used "Comet" which is way weaker (Around 2500 damage).

Meteor always deals 9999 damage. :x

@nohj1000000 relax, firstly: he counters any black magic and physical attack u use on him, the way bto do this battle is to either way use cura/curaga or healing items( like potions or if u wanna do it fast a elixer, ON HIM they will do quite a bit of damage, really quick

I'm wondering why you didn't use Porom's "Cry" command, cast "Protect" on the party, and use Palom's "Buff + Fira" combination. I also noticed that you didn't cast "Slow" on Scarmiglione (and his minions) on the first and second battles.

@eeyore206 It's a good point with Cry and Protect, but Bluff and Fira.. Not so much. Fire makes him rage and cast multiple debuffs that pretty much screw the party over. It's best to cura it. Good point with the slow as well.

@Shadowmaster272 in final fantasy games its common knowledge that healing spells cause damage to undead monsters and revival spells/items will also kill some outright. For example phantom train boss in ff6 dies to one phoenix down.

The 4 archfiends are named after demons from Dante's Inferno (Scarmiglione, Cagnazzo, Barbariccia, Rubicante), but their names got mangled because the SNES translation was so shitty (aside from the dumbed down game in general)

They got the proper names back in the GBA updated re-release, and the DS remake added a superboss called Geryon, also named after a character in Inferno.

They all told original and compelling stories (Except for the first one, but that's exempt, since it had little production value put into it.) and in a way FF is just like a novel...but you can play it, which is why I think many hold the franchise on such a high pedestal.

ah palom and parom were my favorites. in the original on the SNES there was a glitchy but usable "walk through walls" code that allowed you to use them until the end of the game. They get max wisdom and will respectively pretty early in the snes version.

In Final Fantasy, generally, when a monster is in Zombie Status, all the heal magics or items will damage the monster, instead of healing him! There a boss on Final Fantasy X, it's called Avrey (I know, it is misspeled =P), in bevelle, he is on Zombie Status, and you can kill him with just 3 Pheonix Down =D
