One punch or kick to anybody's trachea and it's over. Won't matter what style was being used. People that are always saying one style is better than another crack me up:D :D If some kid jams a piece of rebar through your head when you are not looking...guess THAT 'style' wins! With all respect: Bruce was downed by a medical condition...NOBODY took him out. Fate kicks everybod's ass in the end. Don't get too far from humility!!!!
here in the city tonite,,, in the city tonite,, looking for you we can start up a fight!!! great song!!!! 3 weeks ago i was at the BIG 4 at the yankees stadium, METALLICA,SLAYER,ANTHRAX,MEGADEATH.... it was the best
@axelyon4 taekwondo looks very spectacular indeed, but lacks effectiveness since the kicks too focused on speed but often don't generate enough power for full contact and they don't keep a decent guard or no guard at all. Study karate or korean traditional arts and you will understand, or just watch some tkd vs muay thai vidoes. Btw tkd is the official korean sport but has nothing to do with traditional martial arts, it's just a political attempt to unify and semplify all korean styles.
@circacheese i preferd taekwondo because they say speed is better than pwer im just a 12 year old kid training tkd(yellowbelt) and may blackblet friends say karates stupid
@axelyon4 if they are blackbelt in another style of fighting they will of course say it is stupid because most martial artists believe their style is the best (most not all)
@axelyon4 There are different martial arts because people have different opinions about what is the best. Saying another martial art is stupid, is ignorant. They don't know what they're talking about. If they would know everything about karate they would respect it as a martial art.
@circacheese You mean SPORT tkd lacks power and don't keep they'r guard up. Sport tkd is way different than, you know, not sport tkd. Where I practice tkd our teacher also teaches boxing and a little wrestling, groundfighting, locks and throws. It's really fun since I also practise judo so when we are grappling I can just destroy them :D, but of course I don't go allout on them everytime... (Sorry for my bad grammar, english is my 3rd language so...)
@Roikonen94 Yeah that's exactly what I meant, lots of martial arts are losing their nature in favour of a more sport oriented and limited optic. If taught by a good master any style proves worthy. The fact is that most TKD as well as al lot of karate schools fail to embrace this pertinence to their cause. I used to do judo too ;) extremely limited scenarios, extremely valuable ground work! Now I train Soo Bahk do (north korean military), Tang Soo do (MDK) and Kyuk Too Ki under the same master.
I think that because there is no punches to the head they tend to let their guard down to protect their body and leave themselves open more often for a head kick .Looks spectacular though.
@ricroc65 - Agreed. not very good sense behind it though...
If you look at these knockouts by foot. It is ok to kick (not as controllable as a punch) somebody in the face that they are knocked out, but no strikes to the face (which can be controlled).?
this shit is fucking dangerous for competition, this not UFC or a Jean Claude Van Damme movie, if your not gonna have any foot or hand padding you have to show control, most of these strikes would have been DQ in a shotokan tournament
@etight504 The thing I don't like about kyokushin tournaments is that there is no attacks to the head (besides kicks) This can (but not always) make the kyokushin practitioner's waza deficient when dealing with combo's to the head. Shotokan tournaments (although not as grueling) does allow attacks to the head so one sees way more movement (instead of of standing in front of the opponent slugging it out...as if that's practical?
@Uaxis I think the gun goes with the street thing. And, So what? What if you get hit by a bus tomorrow? Then you do! If you fail to defend yourself, it happens.. It doesn't mean you studied the wrong art or something.
@pastropmal Asians invented 'gun' powder! :D And they have used it for centuries. One of the reasons Japan closed itself to all foreigners ...they did not want the influence of China or the West taking over their heritage which was very much martial arts(Samurai) based. It does not matter WHAT form of MA you have or use...there is somebody who can and will kick your ass when it is 'not your day'. Or the Asteroid(it's coming!)will get us! :D :D Hmmm...was that BUS using Kung Fu or Karate???
This is just shit.. I do Shotokan Karate for a long time, and the speed of kicks and punches, are well bigger than in TKD.. I analised many competition, i must say karate it faster than TKD .. ) on the streets can work every martial art, if you know what u doing ;)
Really.... really? dude are u 16.... WTF???? It all depends on the practitioner. Next month u will be slamming all traditional arts saying MMA is the best. Go and actually take up a martial art so u can sound intelligent and informed.
@samplik i do TKD and agree its faster but they are both very different, karate is explosive and tkd i believe is alot about the counter but can also be very explosive, martial arts on the streets? i wudnt really use kicks id just just use my hands and skills, most people dont have a clue what their doing
@samplik Im a muay thai - brazilian jiu jitzu fighter and I respect "kyokushin karate" but TKD? just sucks I've been fighting 6 years ago on the streets can work every martial art, except TKD xD
I think those guys have no self control. If your REALLY good, you can still move at high speed and land your kick without the whole thing looking like a brocken neck...
yo people i am a amateur boxer and i also do TKD.
TKD is the best kicking fighting sport nobody can disagree, but TKD would not work in a street fight i think Boxing,Muay Thai and Judo only work in a street fight tell me what u think but don t come bck to me talking about Kung fu coz that is a pile of shit Taekwondo wud work my in a street fight than kung fu.
um srait punches and kicks to the groan and knee work and i use karate its just doing the super spinning axe kick of doom that u should avoid like in tkd but i disagree abot tkd having best kicks
Well TKD is mostly kicking we still know how to use our hands. It's just in sport we don't use our hands much or actually more closely to we don't use our hands at all except as a counter weight for our kicks
i saw more better
