  • @hawaiian96chence haha lol :)

  • wait what is the consonant behind the glare :)

  • the pronounciation of the vowels is exactly the same as in Estonian. How great is that ? :D

  • @brittpalmiste Very awsome lol :D

  • I think you're a good teacher!

  • @milan8810 Mahalo nui!

  • Yay! The vowels are the same as the spanish vowels! :D Except the uhh.. The dash.. Vowel.. One. ): I did not catch that one.

  • @BrilliantlyBecks the vowels are the same in every language.

  • @ALXVid101 Uhh. Except they're not. Lol. They are not pronounced the same.

  • @BrilliantlyBecks oh that's what you meant :)

  • @ALXVid101 Yus. (: The pronunciation, not the actual letterrr. :D

  • Mahalo Ahonui..

  • @Kaifefine Hiki nō!!

  • Thank you so much for these lessons! Up here in Finland there's no way I could ever learn this beautiful language.

  • I am learning to speak so I can teach my children. :-) You make it easy thank you.

  • Interesting it's very similar to Maori language we have H,K,M,N,P,R,T,W,Ng,Wh, and our Vowels are the same A,E,I,O,U and the "Tohuto" or macro to emphazise the dragging of the constenants. This is truthly cool.

  • Wow this really helped a lot. Definitely have to learn those vowels and consonants.

  • Of only these consonants and vowels is the Hawaiian language is composed?

  • @ie9rws It is composed by:

    8 consonants: h, k, l, m, n, p, w and ʔ (glottal stop).

    and

    5 vowels: a, e, i, o, u.

  • He vananga a au 'arero rapa nui. To'oku 'ingoa ko Walo

    'arero = 'olelo

Is Hawaiian language official in Hawaii?

  • While Hawaiian is an official language. There is no "official language" anywhere in the United states, there is no official language of the Untied states. We have large groups that speak Chinese, Hawaiian, HUGE Spanish speaking groups. The language of the US is pretty much English, but it is not the "Official" language, just the majority language.

  • @GuamKomudo If u think about it Hawaiian is an official language.. the state Hawaii is apart of the U.S and the Hawaiian's speak the language.. I was wornding is Hawaiian kind of like Japanese?

  • Nooo, I understand that it is an official language. But I mean for the US, there is no offcial language stated by the government that THIS language is THE language of the United States. We have many languages, if we did have a language, it would be English. And... How do you know I know Japanese? =P

But, it kind of is, as far as how it's based on syllibles, and you talk like a-ta-ma-ku

in little sounds together instead of in english like one slurred sound.

  • @GuamKomudo Ok I understand!! I dont know Japanese.. I just think it sound like it a little but u can tell the deference. Thanks for explaining it again!!!!

  • Thanks for the lessons! you're so beautiful!)

  • I'm doing a presentation about the Hawaiian language and this was REALLY helpful :D thanks!

  • Aloha my name is lacey and i would like to learn hawaiian can you please send me one of the txt books?

  • Aloha mai e Ahonui, pehea 'oe i keia la, maika'i? This is solid to have Papa 'Olelo Hawai'i online, keep up the good work.

  • @kekokua808 ʻAe mahalo nui!!!
