Hi that's a nice example! I am restoring one of these can you tell me where to get a replacement pickup cartridge or stylus? The record deck is British made under license from Staar in Belgium - it's moulded into the base plate underneath. They were popular in the 50s and 60s. There is also a derivative of this one used in the Triang child's record player of the same era. I have another larger Staar deck - again battery powered - which is two speed 33 and 45 and plays 12" LPs.
hi ive just got a mint top ten record player what sort of year are these , not as cool as my philips car record player what sort of money is a mint one worth thanks dale
I used to have one of these. unfortunately the deck was extremely flimsy and plasticky, and the motor start switch mech fell apart! I ended up connecting the motor to the on-off switch. The sound was very rough (probably bad capactitors). Suppose I should have kept it as a collectors item but I sold it at a boot sale about 15 years ago. neat little unit but shame about the quality
Hi there, Always glad to chat with our American cousins. So glad you like this little machine, its one of my favourites too. The 45. RPM only machine was very short lived over here.

Glad you like the vid. This is a British made Bush "Top Ten" radio record player. I think the turntable is a seeburg but I'm not sure. The only identification on it is a gold letter "S" so if anyone out ther in tube land knows the make, please drop me a line.
Very cool! Bush was never distributed in the US, but I have seen similar record players to this, but not as old. Very Cool!

This is a fascinating little machine! I've never seen one before. And that little bubble which releases the pickup is very cool!

That player is a work of art. I didn't notice till you pointed it out, it does look like a juke box.

I'm glad you like it. I think seaburg made the turntable, but I cant be sure, but it would explain the jukebox look.

Very very nice record label design and what players is this?. It has the same pull-out system Philips players had to start the motor.
First time I ever hear The Crickets and they sound cool !. Thanks for a nice vid.
