  • Thanks!

  • Wht kind of dye do proffesionals use to paint a yirdaki, or mago?

  • @sajttorta acrylic paints or ochres

  • Gorgeously painted and yes, what an amazing sound. I can feel the deep vibration of it right through the computer. I can only imagine what it must feel like to be playing it!

  • As i did the same on this channel.thank you for the healing vibrations.

  • Am gonna fav it on thsi channel.Thank you Vernon

  • im all for blood wood didges picked up a beaut one in sydeny australia check it out in my vid entitled australian didgeridoo and let me no wat u think

  • i like the look of your didge, doesn't look so touristy!

  • yeah thats rite no artwork on it at all the art is in the didgeridoo itself

  • Vernon plays it like Djalu in the beginning.

I know about instruments like this.

Low pitched instruments have to be felt more than heard.

It is the same with mridangam drums also

  • WOW !! Love this sound thank you for posting.

  • wheres my comment gone? weird.

[it's probably gunna appear as soon as i post this mind you]

  • Brilliant video, and an amazing instrument!!! lovely sound and like you say the tone is unique, wonderful stuff!! thanks for posting this Guan, where would we be without you????

  • How long is it??? It looks huge!!!

  • Almost 6 foot long in the old measurement, or 176 cm.

  • heh, i'm getting one thats about 7 foot 1 inch. key of low A. unfortunately, i'm still trying to get as good as you lot. from listening to your videos, the tongue is utilised quite alot to create the rythm, isn't it? i just can't seem to nail that and still fit in circular breathing. never mind, your vids remain an inspiration to me haha.

  • Wow, low A! Is yours eucalyptus or made from something else?

  • Agave. I love american didges, though they're a nightmare to get to britain. unlike euc, agave is able to retain more resonance at lower pitches. it's also got hardwood at the mouthpiece and bell. part zebrawood, part something else.

in fact, i'll PM you the link so you can look at it so far.

  • cool, looking forward to seeing pics! you're right about resonance in euc vs agave. agave is a beaut material for didge, so light and lively. to find a low pitch euc that resonates well is rare, hence my love of this yirdaki by Djalu.

  • I like a Yucca didge. Yucca has a lot of control and I feel they are more sensitive to tounge movements.

Still nothing beats a really good Yidaki!

  • i was actually gunna get a nice yucca C# but i couldn't when i decided to get a really low custom agave made haha. i've also got a marko johnson leather didge. yup, didge made of leather. he's probs the only person who professionally makes them for sale, and cuz it looks a beaut too, it's also something of a collector's item :D. cost me shitloads to get if u include shipping and customs from usa to uk lol.

  • I have not seen traditional styles played on Agave. There are clips of Balanda Aeroplane style of Agave i have seen in the past.

  • oh well, don't expect any traditional stuff from me either lol. it's not so much to do with the fact it's agave as to do with i'm more comfortable for a style more contemporary.

  • link received, nice stick in the making! pls post a vid of you playing it when you get it!
