  • My dream engine....

  • CalledKev, Your video has become one of the "not available on mobile" videos, which means we can't watch it on our phone or iPad. Would it be possible for me to send you a DVD and some $ for your trouble and shipping and you could send us the movie we can watch while we are on the road? Here it is a year since we found the "Blue Goose on the Loose" and it is still our #1 fave on youtube! - Dominic's Mom

  • which model company manufactures the blue goose

  • @hecteregglar If you are referring to the HO scale Blue Goose seen in the video, I bought it at a train show. It was made by Rivarossi, but carried and AHM label and, judging by the box, it was fairly old. The only ones I know of available new right now are O scale versions, mad by Williams by Bachmann, according to one poster here.

  • Thank you for your replies. We have been to several train shows already and yes, he is loving them! Our discovery of the Blue Goose, first in the Williams by Bachmann catalogue and now in your video, postdates our last show. So next show we will for sure be looking for a Blue Goose, perhaps by Rivarossi! When you say the consist came out of the box, do you mean it came together with the engine and tender?

  • @ToFishTeacher By "out-of-the-box" I meant that there was no construction (i.e.; painting, glueing, etc) needed, they were ready to run right out of the box. The vendor my wife and I purchased from had the locomotive, tender, and the consist all together for one price. You might ask one of these vendors if they could find one for you -- a lot of these have their own brick-and-mortar hobby retail business and may know of someone who might have a set. Good luck!

  • I don't know if we could afford it, but he loves it so much we thought we might try to find a used one or maybe we could ask santa clause :D. Dominic is just turning 3 next week and is such a sweet boy.. thanks to God and the soothing rhythm of the steam engine!

  • There does not seem to be any new HO scale models out there at present but I'd like to share something with you -- I have found that train shows are a really terrific place to find those hard-to-find items. In addition to running displays, there are vendors and collectors alike there who might have what you are looking for (they might even haggle with you as well). Besides, if your son really loves trains, he'll have a ball there! Good luck and good hunting!

  • can't believe I did that twice.. Ok.. I'm writing in hopes that you can help me. My son is completely in love with your blue goose train. We watch your video over and over every day. (Thank you for sharing it.) I have looked all over and can only find the blue goose in O gauge (from Williams by Bachmann). Where did you get it in HO??? And I just love all your matching and varied passenger and luggage cars!! Did you have to build them yourself or are they also available to purchase?

  • Thanks for the comments! I am so glad Dominic enjoys the "Blue Goose on the Loose!" My wife found the HO-scale set seen in the video at a local train show a few years ago. It was manufactured by a company called Rivarossi (but carrying an AHM label). When we saw it, we snatched it up and found it to be in good running order. The consist came ready to run out of the box.

  • oops hit send on my droid before I was done!

  • Hi, calledkev!
