I love Paul Washer, but I think saying that God has chosen who will accept Him is ridiculous. Salvation is to all men!

Being born again is still not up to the person, God choses whom He'll chose. I left the false church because there are almost no followers in them just deceived believers.

@Pfsif The Holy Spirit draws you to repentance and towards God but if you reject him, you reject him. Jesus Christ was sent to die for humanity, not an elect few. Those who choose God are those who realize that God is sovereign and that you cannot live the life you were born to live without Christ. Names are constantly being written and erased from the Book of Life. Don't think that for one second that God picks and chooses...ALL things are possible in God.

Buried=Baptized in Jesus' name Rom 6:4; Col.2:12

Resurrection=receive Holy Ghost to walk in newness of life (regeneration) Rom. 6:4; Tit.3:5

READ THE BOOK OF ACTS. Too many people read the gospels and jump over Acts and land in Romans 10:10 and want to simply confess with your mouth and poof!!Youre a Christian...But what did the apostles do? What did they tell others as the church grew? People were born again in the Bible; what did they do?

Acts 2:38 They Repent, are Baptized in Jesus' name, and Receive the Holy Ghost

Born of water and the spirit Jn. 3:1-8

That is the original message!!!!!!!!

What you're saying is so true. I'm am so tired of people using Romans 10:9-10 as an evangelistic verse. PW explains it more in depth if you look up another excellent sermon called "Regeneration vs Decisionism.

In Finney's meeting and some of those guys from that old out pouring era, they use to have a secession following acceptance of Christ to ensure that persons have truly and sincerely repented. I think there is a need to ensure that people have truly repented instead of them following to the delusion that just because they said the sinners prayer they are saved. If it did not come from a truly repentant heart, then the person isn't saved.

What you are saying is true.  But the fault is not in the prayer, it is in, as you say, the evangelist.
