  • The way he said "well, nobody's perfect!" hahaha one of the best line ever, especially from a movie in the '50! Homosexuality win!

  • I love this movie, which is the precise reason why I chose it for my Film Studies assignment :D

  • i was searching for the nicki minaj song

  • I'm a trap

  • and that's how the homosexuality came in fashion x)

  • That might be the best line in movie history.

  • he just got owned

  • da

da da da da da da

    da da!

  • ^_^ haha love it everytime

  • What's he say at 0:06?

  • anything !!!!

  • Osgood Fielding is the sugar daddy of sugar daddies!

  • FILMS LIKE THESE ARE THE REASON WHY HOMOSEXUALITY IS AN ABOMINATION.

HIS DRESS DOES NOT MATCH HIS MAKE-UP. >:U

  • @Irikron It looked more fitting with his wig on. XDD

IT'S IN B&W. HOW CAN YOU TELL IT DOESN'T MATCH?! And even so, Jack is just adorable enough to pull off ANY look. :) :grabby hands:

  • @Irikron LOL if it's a joke it's hilarious!!!

  • @davijeph Exactly. It's a movie. Osgood is just a weird character in a movie.

  • that guy had a funny voice

  • still one of the best movies and movie ends ever :D

  • wait does Osgood mean that he's a woman or just that he's just not surprised at the guy's deception?

  • One of the greatest movie ever!!

  • What do you mean that it is fake?

    Its a clip from a 1959 film....

  • "im a man!" "nobody's perfect" the best way to end a film

  • @spittingimage4005 Congrats on all the thumbs up and that, and I know this is an old comment, but I can't stand comments like these.

It's not the fact you wrote down the only two lines in an 11 second video, rather the fact you wrote down the only two lines in an 11 second video... And managed to miss a word!

  • love this part really cool

  • Can you get the whole movie on Youtube? It would be public domain now.

  • Is there anyone who get what Jack Lemmon mouth after Joe E. Brown said the last line?

  • @hawkssens he mouthed "oh fuck it"

  • Why's it overrated? After an entire movie of sexual ambiguity, it's brought out into the fore at the very end...in the early 60s, none the less! The line is great, and a summation of the nagging question "how could they have gotten away with it???" If you're going to throw a stupid bomb like that, you need to back it up.

  • After rewatching this movie recently, I have to agree with you -- the closing line IS terrific. Did you know that Wilder and I. A. L. Diamond weren't happy with that line, btw, and only left it in there before they could come up with something better (apparently, they couldn't)? Incidentally, this movie was made in the late '50s, not early '60s.

  • Well, just goes to show you that nobody should ever judge a book by its cover.

  • so great.

    real classic.

  • I wonder if they stayed together.

  • I saw this 50 Greatest Comedy Films. I laughed my head off when they showed this clip.

  • HAHAHAHAHA

  • I remember, I was watching this in a film class, and this got the biggest laugh all semester, not to mention the only standing ovation.

  • PERFECT really really perfect!!!

  • I don't have the film, i just edited this lines from another video here on youtube. i can't recall though that this scene was there but maybe u will have more luck there.

  • Can you please please upload this scene where the dialog goes as follows

"Jerry: [Joe used a "Cary Grant" voice when posing as a millionaire] What are you trying to do to that poor girl, putting on a millionaire act? And, where did you get that phony accent? Nobody "talks loike thet"!"
