i wonder if this the end of the Sarah Jane adventures. if it is, it has ended in just about the worst possible way. if it isn't you can't have anyone replace Liz no one will be anywhere near as good in any way at all. she's about a million times better than anyone. but i think that no one is truly dead until they are forgotten so let's all remember Liz and hope she rests in peace

The first three 2-part episodes were recorded last fall. The second half of the series had been scheduled to shoot this spring, but her illness prevented that. So we have six more half-hours of Sarah Jane to watch.

If CBBC still wants a Whoniverse programme, the series could be re-tooled or replaced. There have been plenty of great companions. My vote would be for Ace - the last companion of the classic era (the "Dorothy something" Sarah Jane mentioned in Death of the Dr)

@GrandWebmaster thats is they release those episodes i heard in the news that if they hadnt completed teh filming which they havnt they mite not be releasing season 5 at all tho what would b good if jo grant came back and finished the season off so they could show it as a tribute to Elisabeth

@dazlovescarter Ace would be better. She's young, vibrant, and prone to blowing things up. Besides, she's from the same borough as Rani, Clyde and Luke. While it was lovely to see Jo last year, she's a weak old gran; Sophie Aldred is only 48, and the character is a few years younger still. Additionally, her charitable foundation could be a good tool for educating the kids about various causes and issues.

What a brilliant women, a fantastic actor, a beautiful lady and a wonderful life. She has been part of many people dreams for adventure for such a long time and will continue to be for many years to come. We will all miss her but remember, she is not gone if you look you will find her living on forever traveling through time.

Thank you for this beautiful tribute to one of the worlds most coveted Doctor Who characters. This has brought tears to my eyes and a pain to my heart for the world has just lost one of the brightset shining stars in the universe. The world will be a dimmer place without her. I will mis her as will the rest of the world. Rest in peace Miss Sladen.

My God...Elisabeth Sladen, you are missed acrossed generations...the old who first saw you step into the TARDIS, to the young who saw you save the world multiple times...not a lot of people can say that....Goodbye, Sarah Jane Smith, you will forever be remembered, when I got kids, they'll know of you and how your character saved my life once =) <3

I wonder how an actor's family feel when they pass away. Some of us get caught on film at weddings or at parties, but they often get so much of their life on film, and when they die those films must be so pleasurable and painful for the ones they leave behind. A million moments & memories etched in film. Maybe one day we'll get our fat, idiotic arses into gear as a civilisation and put as much money into trying to SAVE lives as we do at trying to END them. I won't bet on it though.
