@somzer Night Elf mages are actually Highborne. Any of the races can be resurrected as a death knight, and paladins wouldn't actually be called paladins lorewise. Blood Elf paladins are actually called Blood Knights, Tauren paladins are actually called Sunwalkers, Night Elf paladins could be called Moonwalkers. Those races are only called paladins ingame for game mechanics.

@ElGuerrerodeHielo In Europe: Knight, Cavalier, and Paladin were three names for the same basic concept. In some places, Cavalier was a more elite Knight, and Paladin was the elite of the elite Cavalier.

The Knights of the Round Table were quite elite. :)  Besides, Troll Paladins (from the Freethinker/Heretic lore of Zul Gurub) and Night Elf "Priestess of Elune" (in battle/war garb) both make more sense for Paladins than the Tauren "lore" they made up on the spot.

@SubduedRadical Well, for I know, a paladin were actually the guards of Charlemagne. Paladin literally means "related to a palace". Later, in fantasy literature and games a paladin was some kind of holy knights bestowed with Holy Powers.

I understand paladins as a class based on medieval Europe legends, that's why I can't see Night Elves, which are more a mixture of Celt-Norse-Japanese stuff being paladins... in some way, their "sacred" religious guys are the druids. I don't reallly...

So I wouldn't really find it strange if they decided to do so. More absurd is what they are going to do with the class "monk", making it available for every race... instead of making it a exclusive Pandaren thing.

@schumi26 Well, the reason for that is that some Highborne, night elves that used magic a long time ago, stayed in Kalimdor, while most sailed across the sea and became high elves, later known as blood elves. However, high/blood elves never used druidic magic, so it'd be hard to work in druids for them.

Honestly I doubt Cenarius would refuse any ,even belfs who truly want to become druids, from becoming druids

@Evangelyne423 Well, the Belfs' treants were probably raised through arcane magic. Same with the huge, twisted trees and the funny-colored leaves - they twisted their forest with obscene amounts of magic(probably gained from shady deals with demons or elementals) into what they thought was pretty. They definitely wouldn't be able to learn druidism from some sort of nature spirit due to what they did in the War of the Ancients, so they would have to learn from a person.

1:19 - 2:36 the war between them and the Horde

2:37 - 5:18 how they suffered after the war, their magical lands destroyed, their cities ruined....

5:19 - 7:56 they wont give up, they wont stop fiting until they will make the barbarian Horde pay
