  • As others have said, you are wasting a lot of energy, just let the axe do the work, It should be a controlled, aimed, "drop" with only as much force put in as is required to accomplish the split. Driving the axe into the splitting block below the piece to be split is wasted effort. There are methods that involved a "swing" and methods that involve a "drop" and each can be effective depending on the situation. Your method looks more like frustration.

  • @mdocod I totally agree! =-D

  • splitting a 2x6 ? really ? REALLY? LOL

  • nicely shaved legs ... faggot

  • fail to make this video

  • Just a suggestion, dont use so much energy and force when swinging the axe, let the weight of the axe do the work, it splits alot nicer :P

  • some advice, get a tire for the top of the chopping block, that way the wood doesn't go flying everywhere, more efficient that needing to find and pick them back up again.

  • @flamedrag18 Good thinking, Thanks! =-)

  • try some twisted fresh wood and check how it does that.

  • Looks like it's turning out to be an hell of a splitter, nice!

  • @DemonHide Haha yeah I'm quite pleased!

    thanks for watching =-)

  • @stegst140 Yeah I'm pretty impressed with this axe!

  • wtf is the song? its awesome.

  • @oliver2341 Flipsyde - Revolutionary Beat =-)

  • That nice wedge on there seems to be splitting pretty efficiently. Good stuff. I have an old wood handled axe that has seen better days, might have to try one of these out.

  • @X4CTO yeah so far I really like it! there metal is quite soft to hitting a nail will fuk it up, but thats expected =-)

Again good to hear from ya Bro!

  • @MountainMonsters yeah i have a fiskars also and i've hit many rocks out in the bush with mine so the blade is dinged up... but with a little work with an angle grinder and flap disc you can get a nice sharp edge back.. when my friends and i would go camping a friend would bring the chainsaw and i'd bring the axe and makes light work to some firewood for a camp fire.
