  • Written by her uncle

  • Amazing!!! great in her own right x

  • Loretta Lynn did this song too.

  • My God, I think I'm in love with this woman!

  • Kelly Osbourne and Lisa Marie Presley, that's how you respect your father's legacy.

  • What year is this from? I'm guess 07 cause of the short hair...??

  • A really forgotten anthem, Emmylou covered it best.

  • Such a phenominal talent - the real thing!

  • There is something so haunting and lonesome in Rosanne's voice. We all miss someone and we all miss John R. God bless the Cash family.

  • I still miss someone..

  • I love Johnny Cash so much, and his daughter really does justice to this song and his memory.

  • Beautiful Version ! She sings it very well ! Thanks very much for uploading ! 5*****+

  • i assume this video was made before johnny cash's death. she does a great job. it would probably be difficult for rosanne to do this number now. i know she misses her dad. classy lady.

  • Damn she's beautiful... voice too

  • I still miss someone too. : (

  • There's something magical about this lady.

  • shes a cash nothing more said :)

  • What a beautiful song, sweet .. beautiful.

  • This is very beautiful!! I also like Emmylou Harris's version from her "Bluebird" album. This has to be a hard song to sing as it was a standard of her dad's. It was also sung on the TV movie "Wildflower" that starred Patricia Arquette. The movie had a fiddle instrumental of the song that was amazing!!

  • Don King's version hit #38 in Billboard, 6-27-81. God bless!

  • truly lovely version

  • Its just not the voice the emotion is electric,so heartfelt, Thank You for this:)

  • Even if you are Rosanne Cash...It would be a daunting task indeed to take one of Johnny's songs and make it your own...She did that... No mean feat.'

  • I miss both of them. :-(

  • @Tigermoon1950 I meant June Carter Cash and Johnny...

  • @Tigermoon1950

I second the emotion...it's so sad that June & Johnny are no longer with us. :(

  • Original song of this sung by johnny cash was good but her voice makes me cry when i listen to this and you can hear a little that she is sad too

  • Johnny is proud!!!!!

  • I like her voice,my grandpa Cash is her cousin!

  • I have loved this voice since "Seven Year Ache". She is so underrated. Just beautiful as usual. What a sad song!

  • I never got over those blue eyes.....

  • I never got over those brown eyes...

  • Not unless they are on a beautiful native chick :P Native women with colored contacts just look funny, especially when they try blue contacts they just look mutated or something. Just like dark skinned women should never have blonde hair. Just wish people realized they are beautiful just the way they are. Well make up's fine just not super rediculously thick...I digress...

  • I got into a little moment there, lol. I get sidetracked easily.

  • Bloody I'm sorry for forcing my leaving

  • She didn't even know her dad recorded "Tennesee Flat Top Box" when she was thinking of doing it. I guess she was angry a long time about his leaving....

  • @cabritorsss I read her book it's very good she does say things about her dad when she was a kid but I wouldn't say she really held it against him more like when she was a kid she didn't understand it as well. I guess when she got older and got a Divorce she probably saw more easily how hard it must have had been for her father.

  • She's got a beautiful voice! Such presence too.

  • Nice version, also check out the one by Suzy Bogguss, its superb too

  • Wow its the first time i have heard her sing and its the best version of that song that i have heard - tks for posting Susie - Ireland

  • a sad and lovely song with a lot of feelings-i can feel it on me own life....

  • Beautiful song

    Beautiful Women

    Beautiful memories of Johnny

  • the sound of voices sound a bit the same we all miss someone

  • good version but her dad sang it better 4 me

  • it's not comparable. both are good for me.

  • I've always wanted to hear a version of this song where the last major chord of the verse--where it goes "..and I still miss someone"--the resolution to the major tonic sounds AWESOME when you go to the relative minor. It changes the while tone of the song to "melancholy"... She DOES do it in the bridge where she says "those arms that held me"

I wonder why she didn't record it that way in the verse?

  • Great stuff!

  • Heartbreakingly beautiful! Thank you for posting this

  • OMG I LOVE THIS SONG.

  • Lovely version of this Cash song. Need no more words...

  • without a doubt

one of the most beautiful women

    on the planet

  • Very beautiful rendition of this song by Roseanne. She did a wonderful job! I still miss someone too.

  • Rosanne's beautiful voice and delivery of this song ... perfection. And what a simply stunning video!

  • Did Johnny write this song for his 1st wife after they split up?

  • he wore the black for the downbeat and the poor he would ov loved to wore a rainbow but in this world we live in there was'nt much chance of that was there rip johnny cash

  • Roseann she just puts that special touch to her Father's great music. Yeah I ALSO STILL MISS SOMEONE as I look upwards I can see her face along with Johnny and June. HUGS

  • What's a Punkrocker like me to say ?

    Truly a great,touching song !!!

    Better than Britney and Madonna,Huh?

Take a back seat on the non musical bus RAP !

Long live Johnny Cash,John Lennon and Joe Strummer !!!

  • I miss you Johnny, and i always will .... <3

God bless Johnny Cash, and Rosanne you are great!

  • I'll never forget those blue eyes Micah-John.

    I olove you c:

  • My Daughter died in 2006. I still miss someone.......and always will.......

  • I love this old song and Roseanne's unique voice and style make it so pleasant and unforgettable. Johnny sang it the first time I ever heard it but I am thankful Roseanne recorded it for us to enjoy. Does anyone know who is singing with her here? Thank you summer for posting this. - Paula

  • doing her dad proud.....

  • Rosanne is such a kind person and this song is wonderful. She also looks SO much like her daddy. Oh, and I still miss someone, too...

  • Oh, no I never got over those blues eyes

  • I miss someone too. Terry T. Haynes in Houston, TX.

  • no tribute for john would ever better his daughter singing his song for june i love it and i miss jrc.

  • I hate when people compare Rosanne. She is so unique and fabulous that it's just a fantastic coincidence that she also has famous relatives. She is a wonderful singer and human being. I LOVE her!!!!

  • I still miss someone -it`s you Larry Bulen. Love,Jenny

  • In my opinion Roseanne is the only artist who can make John's songs sound like her own.

  • very good version but my fav of this song is by Suzy Bogguss, I guess its what you're used to hearing

  • i love this song so much!!

    best song ever

  • Thanks for sharing. Johnny Cash's version has always been my favorite but this was wonderful too.

  • Loved it! This was played at my father in laws funeral and I wish I would have had this version. Guess will all miss someone with the death of Johnny and June yep will miss their talent. I still miss someone

  • I absolutely love it. I wish I could buy it.

  • You can it's on a CD called "Kindred Spirits-A Tribute To The Songs Of Johnny Cash"

If you can't find it you can send me a private e-mail with your e-mail address & i will send it on an attachment!

  • It's in the genes. What a lovely rendition. If only Johnny could hear it now. One of his best ever songs in my opinion.

  • Something about Roseanne's voice in this song tugs at one's heart like her rendition of September When It Comes-- perhaps Johnny's voice in hers?

  • ive just fallen in love with her voice

  • Simply beautiful!!!

  • awesome

  • It is sung with a greaaaaaat feeling!!!!

    Abhinav

  • she did an amazing version at Johnny's memorial...would be great if someone would post it

  • Nice cover. Both versions are great though.

  • i only heard this song one time on a movie called wild rose and i never forgot it. when my son was born i sang it to him everyday. thank you for posting this, it ended a 17 year old mystery.

  • The movie was Wildflower, a beautiful made for TV gem, directed by Diane Keaton. It was the first time I saw Patricia Arquette and Reese Witherspoon. The song, the story, each of these three ladies; when I see or hear any one of them, the others come right back.

  • Yes, you're right. Wildflower not wild rose. ehh. do I get points for being close?

  • didn't realize she was so good, awesome!!

  • This is a beautiful way of singing. She put all of her heart into it. Very nice. It is a great tribiute to her dad.

  • So much of John and June resonate in Roseanne's music. As her voice matures she truly is a Cash.

  • She has such a beautiful voice

  • Stevie Nicks did a version of this song in 1989. She recently lost her father, too. I think it would be a nice tribute to see both Stevie and Rosanne do this together.

  • she's nice, she's a great singer and johnny is very well proud of her, she's a pretty woman

  • i love it

  • From the Kindred Spirits Johnny Cash tribute album . Great album produced by Marty Stuart. Lots of great JC covers well worth checking out!

  • i wonder if this concert was recorded? I would love to see them sing this together, Thank you for posting.
