i had a migraine. it happened in the middle of school. It was caused by light because when the teacher turned off the lights, i saw zigzags and colors and before you know it, my head hurt like hell -.-
For some reason I get them once a year Sep-Oct it started when I was 12 and now it's been going on for years. Weird eh? Usually it starts with blurry vision like your drunk in one eye, then this massive throbbing pain with your skin turning pale with cold sweat, then your stomach will start to kick up, then you just barf, pass out, and finally wake up normal.
I have used Migre-lief for 7 yrs. and my migraines have decreased from 4-5 per month to 1-2 per month. It is Magnesium, Fever Few and Vitamin B I believe and I haven't had to go to the hospital for an injection since Oct. 2004. It will be shipped to you as not many pharmacies make it. I take one per day as two affects your bowels (after all -remember Milk of Magnesia) You take them daily regardless of having a headache as it is taken as a preventative. Check it out - it works for me.
Also I had just started using this ab master pro. I dont usually work out and I'm small. I was wondering if it was because my sugar levels were too low?
Today I was in town and when I went in the ice cream shop, after about 5 minutes, my vision went blurry. I didn't get a headache but it felt, well I cant explain, like i was losing control in my body and about to float off or something. I lost control of my legs and stumbled in to someone. A minute after I couldn't even remember if I did or I was imagining. It was horrible but as soon as I left the shop, i was fine, just a bit shaky. It would only happen in that shop. Any idea what it was?
@TazzyProductions some sort of smell or chemical in that shop trigger that? Try different times, different hours and different state of body.
My trigger for migraine is usually hunger, dehydration and junk food after a hunger (hungry as hell, grab a McDonald and bam ---> 4 hours of migraine). Fasting then strenuous exercise seems to be another trigger.
@ImEternalWanderer I think it was because outside it was hot and then when i went into the shop it was cold and the light shone in my eyes. I get it often but only for like 4 seconds. Like when you get up to fast and you feel a little dizzy except it happens to me a bit more often. I also thought it was something to do with my sugar levels, maybe it was a mix. I haven't been back in the shop since. Don't think I want to after I stumbled into someone last time lol Atleast im prepared now.
i am male and have aura migraines I started getting them when i was about 8 I often have prodrome like symptoms and they use to often times turn into migraines I have since learned to control that when it starts. I am also ex heroin junkie and take methadone now and have not had a migraine while taking these drugs though while sober i did get one once so they have not subsided with age. interesting that methadone and heroin prevent migraines...maybe cuz of how they interact with dopamine?
This is an interesting yet a very complicated video for someone not in the medical field. One etiology that explains migraines is that certain nerves in the face and head can be pinched by muscles they run though. These muscles act like set of pliers squeezing an electric cable, these nerve will become irritated and starts a cascade of events that results in a migraine attack, Hence removing that muscle can relief the pressure of the nerve. You can view 2 videos on the subject on our channel.
If anybody understood a word she said, please let me know, 'cause I now have the worst headache of my life just trying to figure out what the F she's talking about!
hiii_____ I ussualy have migraine when I make do activities like soccer or basktbal, sometimes I afraid to play sometimes because only to think inthe aura make me fell sick____ someone can give a adivice? ___ thanks
I have suffered with migraine's all my life.... I now take Magnesium Citrate daily... 200mg in the morning with breakfast, 200mg at night with dinner.... not had one FOR A YEAR !!! I HIGHLY recommend trying it
I suffer migraince since adolescence, have take so much pills, with time i discover all the things that catalise them and some i can avoid, others is impossible...just some one suffer this can understand the terrible pains we have to suffer!
when i get them, i usually vomit violently, and even sometimes pass out. damn i hate them. once u begin to become familiar with them, and when they are building up, you can take some strong nureofen and go to sleep before it gets to a point where it bad, in a few hours, ill wake up and be right as rain!
Can LSD actually cause migraines? I've had a suspicion of this, we know that it and certain other hallucinogens temporarily ease the pain, but is there such thing as a rebound effect, or long term effect of hallucinogens that causes this?
i only started getting them when i started the birth control pill, now i get them like clockwork every month even though i stopped the pill years ago.
O MY GOSH who came up with all those names lol respect for doctors and going to school learn all this stuff. why cant doctors just call it the red tingy hurts and that other blue tingy hurts and the middle ball thing inside my head hurts lol. i have a huge headache and it just wont go away and i cant even sleep cause of it
I get these damn things twice a year. when the pressure changes during summer-fall transition and the winter-spring transition. Right when it gets windy.
Rapid pressure change seems to set them off. Best way to prevent em I've found is to wear something over your ears on windy days (assuming you have the same triggers)
Hey if you guys live near Dallas, TX. I know a perfect neurologist... My friend (17) suffers from migraine and it's hard to see her in so much pain, I'm thankful i don't have them, yet!
Oh may god! You are the first person I have ever found that has that problem. I have it too. It's very scary. I've had this problem since I was 11. I'm 28 now. How about you? Do you know what the triggers are?
I know how you feel. I'm 28 and have had them since 11. The only thing you can do is try to sleep it off. I understand the feeling of wanted to shoot your self, I feel that everytime I have one.
@EricLR81 Wow I had a Migraine when I woke up this morning. I don't get them very often either. Luckly I was able to get back to sleep, too bad I had to throw up first though. I do feel a lot better after 3 more hours of sleep. Still hurts when I sneeze or cough.
@EricLR81 Yes! I do the exact same thing, and nobody understands when I try to explain it. My hands also get numb, and I go into a very confused state. It sucks. :(
i have had migraines since i was 8 years old i am now almost 21. none of the meds work and cant keep a job! i am also manic depressive so when i get one i wanna die and nothin can change it! all the research ive done tells me to do one thing... keep a journal of what youve eaten what time you get up and go to bed and certain activities youve done during the day! i still have about 3 a week tho!
i have had migraines since i was in 3rd grade. I'm 35 now. my headaches last for about 10 hours and make me feel hung-over for 30 more hours. i started to smoke weed a lot a couple of years ago and haven't gotten a migraine since, though i still get auro several times a month but at least the pain and vomitting are gone..

This is a great, short video that tells exactly what's going on during an attack.
I wish it would give details about aura...why we lose vision, go numb, weak, can't speak, can't remember, phantom smells, etc...
Also, why we get a cold runny nose and cold hands and feet when a miraine attack starts.
