@emiliopenazepedak I definently wouldn't recommend any primates as pets because yes they do bite at any age they break vases and I'm guessing ypu can't train them. Monkeys really aren't good pets my mom worked at a vet clinic and a spider monkey had the get it's teeth pulled out because it bit the owner constently

I only wish you were right. Jelly, and Jell-o, are made with gelatin. Gelatin, according to Wiki (and other, more credible sources lol) is "a translucent, colorless, odorless, brittle, nearly tasteless solid substance, derived from the collagen inside animals' skin and bones." It is, and always has been.

And even if they knew what they were eating, I'm sure they'd be fine with it. It's not uncommon for wild Squirrel Monkeys to eat frogs.

Most primates can and will eat animal protein in one form or another. If squirrel monkeys were unable to, or the zoo felt it would be harmful they could have substituted agar agar for gelatin.
