  • noodlepuss? lol

  • It gets even worse in the Simpsons

  • I know what I'm about to say isn't relevent to the video but I can't send a message. I'm on a cell phone. Kinda limited. lol Anyway it would be great to see you do a video on how men are negatively treated in family life. Just something I've been focusing more attention to and thought you might like the idea :) Also I'm going to do more videos about men's issues soon, once I get back up and running, if you're interested in watching them.

  • I agree with you about it being better to portray both genders equally, and to not get worked up about disproportionate numbers of boys and girls.

  • I really hope that miserable bitch sees this.

  • @PachucoDesigns

I think she would be proud of me if she saw this. She said herself that she wanted more people to think about gender in children's books and be aware of it. And I did just that.

  • @theignoredgender I'm sure she'd love having her double standard come back to slap her in the face. I know that I would. :)

  • @PachucoDesigns

The difference between idiots and rationalists is that rationalists know when they're wrong.

  • @Mectrixctic This is true.

  • To me, hating shitty, poorly written female characters isn't sexist at all. I'm a girl and I know of a lot of annoying female characters that were just insulting to my intelligence. I'm a struggling author and try making my characters well written, whether they're male OR female.

  • @GueiGirl In a world where are lifting crappy authors on our shoulders, characters of both genders suffer, to be sure. I say this as an aspiring author, myself.

  • Thanks for ruining my childhood! lol I never knew my favorite books from my younger years were so sexist o__O Ah well regardless now I know. This is a really good video and points.

  • @HappyAtheist76

Thanks Vanessa. Yeah I never thought about any of this either when I was kid. I used to love these books as a child too. I still probably wouldn't have thought of it if it wasn't for Janice and this little "study" of hers.

  • @theignoredgender :

Great Video ! Thanks ! ... there is no doubt. Feminism = Anti-Marriage = Anti-Family = Slutty Women = Divorce = Abortions = "Men are Rapists" = Misandry = Domestic Violence Industry Propaganda of Lies = False Accusations = Same-Sex Marriages = Zero Moral Values = Destroyed Fathers/Men = Destroyed Families = Destroyed Civilized Society

This is a Recipe for a Quick and Complete Destruction of our Society.

    watch?v=E9q6aDaRAII

My Name is Martha Laura Granados. I am...

  • Damn, this is like the Simpsons without Maggie.

  • She needs to stop the bullshit lies, she doesn't want an EQUAL number of male characters in the books, she wants the MAJORITY of them to be female. The real current statistic could be 50/50 for all we know. But women know that all they have to do is LIE, BITCH & MOAN about ANYTHING & they will be instantly made the majority of it, without argument, while our GOV'T will gladly take $ / rights / protections away from MEN & even CHILDREN to fund more female supremacy in EVERY sector of society.

  • Poppa Bear....The Homer Simpson of the forest. Anyway, this is a great video. I NEVER once notice the gender-conditioning of how we see males in started in books I read as a child. Man, this put everything in a whole new perspective. This is almost akin to Nazi-esque propaganda....The mind wobbles a little bit.

  • @rang3r34 I'm sure the majority of people who watch this are atheists, but you have to admit, this whole thing... this madness, it just aches and throbs like someone is driving bamboo into your nails, BUT WHO!?. Surely, this must be Satan, even if you are atheist, this is the kinda crap christians are talking about when we claim there is an absolute evil. Even if I'm wrong, boy, we sure came close as a species.

  • @MagnusCattus Totall agree with you there!

  • HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE! We, the men, we built this planet. Stone by bloody stone, this is ours, women only have a say since we gabe the ok. How are we losing this planet? And how is it saudi arabi ends up having less sexist media?

  • @MagnusCattus They are on their way to infect Saudi Arabia too, with their fema-whore bullshit.

  • @rexx1234567 That figures, this insanity has runs it's course, I smell a revolution brewing, along with the black powder fuse of a cannon ready, primed and aimed for a shot. I just don't know what men are waiting for to unleash our real salvo. Unless I'm wrong, has someone started yet?

  • @MagnusCattus

In Saudi Arabia, when a woman sits down in a bus, two men have to stand up.

  • Anyone think the femminist on the onset was attractive? Me neither. What are the odds, an unnattractive femminst. What pisses me right the hell off the couch is that tv shows targeting audiences ages 8-14 always show men as the less intelligent ones. Bad enough i have to put up with this crap but kids are being exposed to this so a whole new.generation of cowards can be raised.

  • In some muslim country there is a woman being stoned to death for getting raped. This bitch is reading childrens' books looking for sexism.

  • @182511419139208 Well...women are essentially children. That explains how they would find the time to read so many children's books looking for something that doesn't exist, also explains how they can take time off from work (if they even work) to participate in Slutwalks or even complain when U repair the A/C in your house instead of sit with them (because they see it as neglect). Children are actually expected to behave like this...which is why Saudi Arabia had it right.

  • @rexx1234567

No... Saudi Arabia is a shithole and women are capable of being rational intelligent creatures without a man to take care of them.

Idiots like you are the fuel for misandry.

  • @Mectrixctic Women R not intelligent, they only show brief moments of smarts. When women R given the rights of an adult, they destroy everything they touch. Look at any feminized place such as Britain/U.K., Australia, Sweden, India, America. Women ruin everything that men work hard to build or earn, they R parasitic & worse than children. But they get more rights & protections than kids. At least children can be trained 2 respect men & elders, do right and only speak when spoken to.

  • @rexx1234567((cond)) Once females pass the age of 16 they are useless and cannot learn any new useful "LIFE" skills. No man can fix them due to feminism poisoning their minds. This is one of the main reasons why feminists created the Age of Consent crap (which 2 this day get ONLY MEN thrown in jail). They wanted 2 make sure that by the time a female is available 2 a man she is already RUINED plus the ugly miserable older feminist women won't have to worry about too much competition!

  • @rexx1234567

    You're an idiot.

  • @rexx1234567, not only that, but women, like children, use CRYING to get what they want.

  • @182511419139208 THINK ABOUT THE POOR WIMMINZ

  • Comment removed

  • @ashleighxeltentat

People like you are why others don't take MRA seriously.

  • Well, were all the male-characters portrayed as rapists?

If not, perhaps we should change them - like instead of "Care Bears", they could change the name to "Rape Bears" - maybe that will make her happy.

  • Grate video! wish i could give you 100 thumbs up

  • @TheOutspokenman1

You could do the next best thing and show this video to 100 new people.

    Or use sockpuppets XD

  • @Mectrixctic lol

  • thanks for ruining my favorite children's books growing up. lol, but seriously a great video and a great response showing that two can play at that game.

  • Thanks for revisiting my childhood books, now that I'm older to understand them, I never really paid attention to what mama was saying but only the kids which I was relating to

  • This is my same argument for when people say that it's sexist that Video Games have more male main characters than female main characters.

Because I don't know about anyone ells but in about 95% to of the games that i have played and or owned have male antagonists. Plus in nearly every one all the men are idiots/irresponsible and all the women are smart/sensible.

  • This was awesome and so is this channel

  • Huh? So if a book has 1 more male character it's in the 57%.

    Jeez, what a noob.

  • this is the way feminist advocates can always find a way to make something "sexist"; by limiting their terms (only focusing on one element, ie the # of M vs F toons) they are able to spin ANY subject to fit their pre-defined results. had females been in greater # than male toons, the study would have instead focused on some OTHER aspect where THESE examples of blatant misandry could be ignored and instead some other artificial "misogyny" created where there in fact is none.

  • Managed to watch the whole thing and I've added it to a playlist.

  • Mrs. Bear is such a fascist bitch!

  • janice mccabe looks like that cunt, skepchick! I guess ugly women are the most misandric feminazis of them all.

  • This was a totally brutal dissection of some of the first books I ever read.

I am fucking shocked to look back on the Berenstain Bears as a man who is now more mature and is aware of misandry. I had no idea that the bumbling, useless dad of sitcoms is also in freaking children's books.

The production on this is impressive, thank you for putting so much work into it. How did you get these high quality images from the books into video? They don't look like scans. PDF or e-book?

  • I would like to know how cubs can out run a full grown male bear.

  • look at TV Tropes "Double Standard" for a list of all the other shows exactly like this not aimed at kids :(

  • I bet she treated her hobby as more important than papa's job, I know lots of women who act like that, like their sewing is harder work than the dad's manual labour all day that earns the money to do the damn sewing. One day papa will snap and whup mama's ass, then he'll go to jail and get raped and it'll be portrayed as a comedy when he's raped *__* Like how it portrays women as getting more tired than men from SEWING but men don't get tired from cutting trees they sleep as a hobby lol

  • weather legally or just socially reinforced, men not being allowed in places is FAR more common than girls not allowed... LOL that the books THEMSELVES portray discriminating boys as a good thing! Reminds me of the KKK's 'we don't hate blacks we just love whites more' logic lol

sister like mother is portrayed ironically as an obnixious egotistical OCD psychopath, like mum. Do you HAVE TO legally be friends with ALL your siblings? do you have to have sex with them too?

  • If you turned it 180 degrees, and had the women losing all the races but had more women I bet she'd say THAT'S sexist too. They said the WIRE was SEXIST because there weren't as many female junkies, drug dealers or murderers than men! Both parts of this apply to the media as a whole, as much as story books; men are portrayed bad in it all, women call it all sexist to THEM anyway!

  • @unassumption

working hard like papa doesn't help you work if you're a male, according to the bears.

Manners are for the 19th century; only mama cares about meaningless BS. They'd say Papa was being abusive if Mama did it and give him a restraining order! The cubs are doing Disobedient Compliance (i think it's called) when a union can't go on strike but follows BS rules so much it causes problems, they smart. Mama is a badly written mary sue.

  • If papa got beat to a coma for his imploteness it'd be considered a good thing by these feminists (i.e. if a man irl got beat), but if it happened to female bear (in a story book) they'd cry foul!

This is every sitcom, cartoon, drama, ever now! Like the anti-technology luddite message on TV as if it stops people talking! Mama reminds me of my mum treating her husband like shit so he can't even think about disobeying her and going insane over OCD bullshit.

  • you learn and enjoy a lot more from watching TV than the stars - what next just turn on radio static and listen to that? If you watch Cosmos, or a documentary on the stars, you can learn about them, just looking with your naked eye s a waste of time you might as well sleep. Papa is the sensible one in all 3 of these stories however the book portrays them! I'd divorce mama if not for family law, with it I'd do what I learned from FBI files on that whore...i'm never marrying lol ._.

  • If it was just 1 series I'd say papa is a character who is just retarded mama is just a good character... but this is copied in all kid's shows, adult shows, etc. TV is a more efficient communication medium than books - if they like older-is-better logic why not have older morals on women? some people aren't as easily amused as kittens and need more than a ball of wool to amuse them! Mama is a dictator who doesn't do any work like most females.

    THE DOCTOR IS FEMALE TOO?

  • like how feminists want white-knight manners (women first, never hit a woman, etc) but don't want what went with them (women get in the kitchen). I don't want either of those, but they want all the rewards without the responsibilities.

ah she prefers passive agressive BS to an honest argument too. what a predictable BS sory too. It's pappa's money he can spend it on his kids if he wants. It's easy to think what to do if you don't have to spend all day at work getting that money :@

  • Why are so many of the heroes in children’s literature male? To make the stories more realistic, one assumes.

  • What idiots funded her research? Probably taxpayers.

  • Most people tend to have a bad habit of choosing quantity over quality.

  • There's a book written by an obviously bitter ex-wife called, 'Why Daddy Doesn't Love Us Anymore'. It's written in a question and response style where the questions get increasingly ridiculous. "Mommy, why come we had to move?", "Mommy, why come I can't have my birthday party?", "Mommy, why come we are not happy anymore?"....answer: Because daddy doesn't love us anymore.

The ex husband, in return wrote a book called, 'Because Your Mom Is An Icy Demanding Bitch."

    No joke.

  • However, there is one called "The Messy Room", where, if memory serves, Mama's the unreasonable one and it's Papa who's the sensible mediator. But I suppose that is only one plus-factor for him, considering how the rest of the series portrays him.

  • You know what's especially jarring for me is having to change the way I look at these books. I have very fond memories of growing up on the Berenstain Bears, so realizing now how sexist the books are, well, it's not a wonderful feeling at all.

But come to think of it, I do remember Papa Bear tended to be the buttmonkey (buttbear?) of these stories. There was one where they went to the doctor and he caught a cold in the end, and the rest of the family stood there with mean smirks on their faces.

  • Very nicely done!

  • All this shows is that the schools is trying to indoctrinate our kids at a young age with these politically correct brain washing books.

I feel like having a politically incorrect book burning, who is with me?

  • @ManSpeakOut definitely

  • @ManSpeakOut

Nah, that wastes paper. We should recycle them and make sure they get turned into good books.

But what about these sexist books is "politically correct" Last time I check, it wasn't politically correct to portray a group as negative.

  • @Mectrixctic Men are not considered as a legitimate group, and in fact are look at as privileged, which is why shots at men are made every day, even in our children's books movies and tv shows. Thats why its politically correct to bash men and incorrect to defend them.

Haven't you noticed that all you see is the inferior man and the perfect woman that does no wrong? You see this cliche everywhere.

  • @ManSpeakOut

"Thats why its politically correct to bash men and incorrect to defend them."

That's just stupid. Who makes these rules?

And yeah, I think segregrated trains are a bad idea. It reminds me of blacks needing to go sit on the back of the bus. We need to get rid of gender hostility.

  • @Mectrixctic Don't you even watch TV, or movies or anything involving mainstream?

Its everywhere, even in children's books such as this one.

Jokes are made often about hitting men in the groin or sexually mutilating them.

  • @ManSpeakOut

Yeah, but they didn't state rules on political correctness.

Groin attacks and mutilation of either gender are funny.

    watch?v=z9Ibn2xD4Vg#t=1m04s

We need more of this, lawl.

  • @Mectrixctic Then why is it taboo to make a joke out of mutilating girls, but funny when it happens to men?

I still hear those Bobbit jokes now and then.

Several scenarios that men are put in to be funny, women almost (If not at all) are put in the same scenarios in the name of comedy, including mutilation.

Like those "Messing with Sasquatch" commercials. The only people that provoke and inevitably get beat by the Sasquatch are men.

  • @ManSpeakOut

I (and people who watch HTF) don't think it's taboo. Not my fault most people are femidiots.

Hey, if you feel that bad, why don't you make a black comedy web series where it's predominantly women who are getting beat up and killed for fun? I'd read/watch it.

  • @Mectrixctic I can relate to that, its not the cracks being made at men for comedy is not what angers me, but the fact that women are not treated the same way.

If you want to see more examples just watch theignoredgender's misandry in the media and misandry in music video series.

Did you also realize that the word itself Misandry is not recognized as a word in spell checking programs? This was no accident.

  • @ManSpeakOut

I've watched the music series and am waiting for part 3.

    Do you mean... masonry?

But why do you say that it wasn't an accident? What evidence do you have of this "conspiracy" that could have been easily caused by ignorance? Did Microsoft employees explicitly state this?

  • @Mectrixctic My evidence is the fact that this "mistake" has not been corrected, its been years since this has been brought up, and nothing has been done.

Men's plight and issues are not taken seriously and it even go as far as calling men whiners for speaking out about their current issues, and tell men to suck it up, be a man, and do nothing.

  • @ManSpeakOut

    Yeah, I see it now.

You're right men (and women!) should speak out more.

  • @Mectrixctic Google had something similar. When someone typed in "She invented" into the search engine. The engine asks "Did you mean he invented?".

Women (Mainly feminists) went fucking ballistic over it and it was changed quickly.

  • @Mectrixctic Recent news in Japan is that the majority of men in Japan are going their own way and not following the traditional way of masculinity.

The men are called grass eating boys, a sort of shaming title to shame men to get back into their traditional role. It has women and even the Japanese Government itself in a panic. I can send an article about this new phenomenon.

  • @Mectrixctic With trident gum, all the commercials show is only men getting beat up and so forth to get them to spit out their gum.

One time a woman did appear but she prevented the trident big heads from getting her to spit out her gum.

They sent the ram after her that got a man to spit out his gum in a previous commercial but the woman took down the ram as if it was nothing, roared at it, and the big heads fled the scene with ram in toe.

That was the only time a woman appeared.

  • @Mectrixctic I still remember Sharon Osbourn taking shots at the man who had his penis cut off on The Talk and the female audience just laughing their asses off about it.

You are not condoned for bashing men with sexist comments and situations, but applauded and rewarded.

If you want to see real male oppression go to India. One man was thrown off of a train while it was still moving because he entered a female only car by accident.

  • @Mectrixctic Along with shows like Everybody Loves Raymond where only the men act stupid, and make mistakes and its up to the women in the show to fix the messes they create.

Women are rarely (If at all) presented in negative role of being stupid, evil, abusive, and other bad titles.

Two and a Half Men make jokes about a man who has been taken to the cleaners by his unfaithful wife and is forced to live with his brother just to get by.

  • @ManSpeakOut

I have not seen those shows. So are you going to make webtoons?

  • @ManSpeakOut I'm with you!

  • Ahh more feminist bullshit,I need some help on I-TUBE with some magina's in other words I need back up. Will you answer the call?

  • I think the problem with that Janice McCabe is that a lot of people are really fucking stupid.

    Namely, her.

  • you think that's bad check out arthur camping, dude

  • Another great video.I posted it on my Facebook page.Keep up the good work.
