the qu'appeler valley which stretches throughout most of lower saskatchewan has more of a hilly area, which like frac said like ireland with continous rolling hills and the qu'appele valey river,
Hi Frac, great video, it really captures the essence of the Saskatchewan landscape, at least from the perspective of a driver. This would be great for the Canada’s Got Treasures collection, which aims to feature Canadian videos of personal or cultural significance. Help celebrate Canadian diversity by joining our YouTube group (/group/TresorTreasure) and submitting your video. It would be made available on our channel and website.
I drove from Edmonton to Winnipeg through the night without sleep (after being at the West Edmonton Mall all day) this summer. I soon learned that unlike the US there arent any places open 24 hours a day and that for 14 hours I would see nothing....
I also almost ran out of gas because once I got east of Saskatoon none of the gas stations had card readers and they didnt open until 7am.
from saskatoon to drumheller, now thats a long flat ride. Great as you drop into drumheller through the bands of colored layers of rock to the dinosaur museum.
@salsa1034 No. I made this video on my one and only excursion into Saskatchewan. From Edmonton, I didn't stray much from highway 16, then headed south around Yorkton or so to come back on the Trans-Canada. Loved the drive.
The highway limit in most of Canada is 100kph (just a little over 60mph). That's the limit on the road in the video. There are a few highways with 110 and 120 daytime limits.
If you were in a high speed case? There are long stretches without any turns, so how fast can your car go?
There are probably probably more accidents than you would think, the drivers in this province are terrible. but most car accidents on Saskatchewan highways would be deer related.
Cool video. I have driven that route a few times. It is pretty flat in Saskatchewan. I just made a video of a couple hours with cuts it came out to around 3 minutes. I didn't use time lapse though. Think you gave me an idea.
Thanks. My camera has a time-lapse option, but I bet there are free tools that can speed up an existing video.
I wish I had done the same thing through Qu'appelle. That's an amazing drive; especially the first time. A similar wow-value as to approaching Drumheller from the south.
why dont we have an autoban? its flat and straight. And cops wonder why we speed. sheesh

I don't know if you noticed frac, but you have some mighty fine time lapse footage of a couple chemtrails expanding.
Add chemtrails too your tags to spread the awareness .
Good job.

Qu'appelle, east of Regina, Saskatchewa, has a similar shocking drop from flat planes to dramatic river valley surrounded with Ireland-like hills.

They were chasing me and I did stop there is no way you can get a way in that kind of terrain even if you pulled off on to a gravel road
