oh and the settings include:

gain

Just looked at the MG100DFX, looks like a good amp, but don't think you'll ever get a more metally sound out of it. but the looks of it the distortion you'll get from your amp is more similiar to an Overdrive dist pedal, which is not what you want for FFAF and other similar bands. May need to get a pedal.

yeh, only a squier strat tho. is pretty difficult. i have a Boss ME-50 Multi-Effects unit and play it tho a Line 6 Spider II Head. I set the dist onto a Boss MT-2 (Metal Zone II), lots of gain, bass and treble with not much middle. what are you using?
