  • Merry Christmas YouTube!

  • my school sang that song infront of a christmas fair

  • You're a legend for putting up all my favourite Christmas music!!

  • Incredibly amazing... I'm speechless... this must be so near to God's choir in heaven. Marvellous!

  • Beautiful , have played it 2 already today

  • My favorite holiday song.

  • Perfection.

  • A lovely arrangement but I still just prefer the lovely jaunty arrangement by Ledger's predecessor David Willcocks.

  • ... the old men who were once young and witnessed the Nine (9) Lessons and Carols when they were young ... the faces change but the moosic does not ... alas we shall soon be in our graves ... some in Hell who preferred the moosic to the Lord Jesus Christ ... or who mistook the salvation fo the ear for the slavation of the soul !

  • u m m m b e a u t i f u l

  • I'm from Sussex. Nice to see that we've contributed something to the world. :)

  • I last went to the service in 1998. The next time I spend Christmas in England I shall be sure to attend.

  • exquisite really

  • formidable, kids voices just amazing, the pipe organ very impresive, thanks

  • You're GREAT!!!

  • If you see on the side, there is an older version of this song performed by the same college.

Compare old times to present day.

Also, beautiful presentation. I love the tenors!

Great usage of tall vowels, carrying through, and pitch.

It's no mystery why you guys are one of the best choirs worldwide.

  • Did anyone see that documentary called A Boy Called Alex? It was about the young muscian Alex Stobbs. Just noticed at 1.30 you can see him at the right hand side!

  • er, why?

  • No offence, it's a personal view, cause I'm grown up in a totally different way, so it looks to me a little weird to see in children faces all this "devine devotion"...

  • they're just concentrating on the music -- they're quite good & it's not easy.

  • Ι know!

  • speaking as an ex chorister from st. pauls cathedral in london it was the best musical experience of my life.

not sure what 'devine devotion' has do with it, and it was not a requirement to be able to perform the music.

    so there!

    lol

  • I love this music, i think its beautiful... i always have, i'm not a christian, but i would happily join a choir like this just for the music created.

You dont have to be religious to enjoy this music you know? :)

  • Truly, a foretaste of the heavenly liturgy. Bravo!

  • Philip Ledger's my great uncle :), it's a beautiful arrangement by the way :)

  • That's great. Do you know what he things about Youtube?

  • Hmm not sure, haven't really spoken to him about it, he's quite a casual person so I'm sure it wouldn't bother him that much :)

  • they sound fine but some they Dont no the song

  • The reason some are not singing

is because they are not meant to, not because they don't know the words. Your talking about one of the finest choirs in the world.

  • Gosh u hear the organ at the end? It was super! i love Pipe organs like that it sounds real not fake!

  • I love this Song its beautiful!

  • waouh! super

  • sublime.

  • Sublime! This definitely rivals the famous arrangements of Willcocks & Vaughan Williams.

  • A very high quality production of this excellent carol.
