Your BB card is in your name, so if anyone rents under your account that you authorized, they might be able to change number provided on the account. So someone had to have verbally informed an employee at some point of what it was. It's usually at the beginning of the greeting like "Hi there, find everything okay? Is ## still accurate? It says here it is no longer in service." I don't know how or when our system checks numbers, but it'll randomly tell us it's inactive so we ask to update.
