Can anyone tell me the difference between a 4AFE and a 4EFTE? I know this vid motor is not a 4AFE because the valve cover is not the same just look at the bolts on it. 5 bolts. 4AFE got 4. Im a little confuse which motor is better 4AFE or 4EFTE?

@GundamTallgeese 4afe is built to give ye milage whereas 4efte is for pushing it to the limit, it has got forged pistons n stronger rods, 4afe = 115hp n 4efte = 135hp as its got turbo ct9 or ct12...... well if ye are planning to modify it go for 4efte modifying 4afe is going to be pain in the ass.... whole engine needs to be changed as it cant take the load of high boost

yes it can . the car has over 300 hp now. type in corolla hulk or go to corollacarclub.proboards. under show your ride, you will see title My 300 hp corolla. keep up the good work.

@king7thGen yes it can but first ye need to put some forged stuff in it or it will blow, it's got the cast pistons. That corolla has got forged pistons n a whole list of custom parts

@pnyk33 your right it is a 4Efte motor 4e is a 1.3l motor and a 4a is a 1.6l motor .

@M1911A1 It is a nice setup, although never see them around, I think this guy did it for the hell of it. 4AG's indeed have stronger bottom ends, only real good 4ag's to boost is the gze, the stock super on there dont breath as well as a turbo, or personally i would also go blue top, lower compression and do a red hat top swap for flow.

the chassis code is AE, so it's a 4Afte engine, if it was Ee then it would be a 4Efte.
