  • oooh i like this alot I love the ballet moves

  • She really told the story in the song...i love that about this performance...

  • This dance was annointed and I hope you won and continue to minister through dance!

  • Your signature name is Hug/Whore. This speaks volumes about your position on this matter, which you are fully entitled to. I am also entitled to mine which is founded in the study of and my personal practice of ministry through dance. Perhaps if you spent a little time studying the subject or just look at other praise dance videos; or just do a search online for praise dance garments you wil see how she should be dressed for this kind of dancing. That's all I really have to say on the subject.

  • Were people expecting a burka?

  • Being that this was some sort of competition, the attire in my opinion is not an issue. I just want this young lady know that her dance touched my heart. I know this song but nfortunately, I am no longer able to hear it because my hearing gave out. But her ministering this song allowed me to feel the music through dance. I am sitting here crying while typing this message. Saved or not, she has an anointing on her life and I pray that GOD use her to bless others as she have blessed me.

  • I DIDNT EVEN THINK BOUT HER CLOTHES UNTIL I READ UR COMMENTS!!!

  • @TheDenajobearden neither did I

  • HER OUTFIT DIDNT EXPOSE NOTHING!!! STOP BEING SOOOOO RELIGIOUS! THIS SONG AND THAT MINISTER OF DANCE I GIVE U HONOR FOR STEPPING OUT! DO UR THING!!!!!

  • love this song but the clothes are not fit for a praise dance we as children of god are to practice modesty how do you dance before the lord dressed like that

  • love this song but the clothes are not fit for a praise dance we as children of god are to practice modesty how do you dance before the lord dressed like that

  • I'm very familiar with the message of the piece and I am a praise dancer and I dance to this piece. And yes the message is not to judge PEOPLE. I'm not judging her; just her choice of clothing or rather her lack of clothing. All of you who are arguing this point should just take a few minutes while you are online and do a little research into praise dance. Just the fact that there is so much commentary about her costume validates my point. The message and the meaning is lost in the costume.

  • @merdemil No, it isn't. You're blinded by the costume because it doesn't fit your conservative idea of what's appropriate. Frankly, she could have chosen to dance in a much more revealing outfit. Heck, she could have chosen to express her love for her creator in the bare skinned vessel that he made her in. Modesty is a nice thing, especially in a praise dancer, but the focus and humility she displayed with her dance far out shined what was covering her skin.

  • Continuing to comment on her dress is redudndant. Say it once and leave it alone.

  • @merdemil though you made a valid point, I think you might be missing the message of the piece and the song, which is pretty much to not judge. Her choice of costume has nothing to do with the message that she is bringing, which was a beautiful one. The Lord says to come as you are, and you are fully able to praise Him in your own way. The way that you view things obviously isn't the way that the dancer does. We as Christians need to know this...it takes all kinds. God bless and keep you. :)

  • if this girl is dancing in a secular dance venue, she should have chosen a secular piect to dance to. Once you choose a song with a message from the Bible you are deliverng God's word in motion and it is no longer secular, and that demands modest dress. Dressing in this manner causes men to have sinful thoughts. God's word, whether delivered by voice or motion, is given to us to help people to turn away from sin not draw them towards it. That's why dress is so important for a religious song.

  • @merdemil Repeating the same thing is redudndant. Someone already said this. People are just trying to be seen now.

  • beautiful im breathless

  • I have danced to this song before, and it really speaks to me. I have an emotional response every time i hear it. I have not read all the comments about her costume, but I will say the same thing that i said to people when that told me that dancing was not appropriate in the church. David danced before the Lord until all of his clothing came off. She is more appropriate than David was when he danced before the Lord, and she is not in church. I love this piece!

  • TO ALL who are judging this costume: this is a competition piece for a secular dance venue. in competitions the dancers have to wear costumes that allow the judges to see their technique. they can't wear palazzos...get it? she is not in the church so please stop with the holier-than-god foolishness and learn something about dance before you talk!

  • THIS DANCE WAS GOREGOUS....DOES IT MATTER WHAT SHE IS WEARING...YALL IS SUM HATERS..AND WHY YALL TRYING TO ACT SO HOLY AND SO CHRISTIAN ABOUT WHAT SHE HAS ON...YALL MUST NOT KNOW THE BACKGROUND OF THIS SONG, THE STORY, OR THE BIBLE FOR THAT MATTER..MARY MADGALENE WAS A HOE...A HOE AND JESUS STILL WANTED HER IN HIS PRESENCE SO WAT DO U MEAN...YALL JUST SOME HATERS CUZ UR LEG CAN'T DO THAT ,LOL...

  • That was awesome!

  • beautiful dance, I love that song it's my testimony

  • That was wonderful and beautiful and the outfit was great as well.

  • This is very lovely and to me it doesn't matter what you wear at least you have something to bring to the table and I'm a graceful dancer to so you really can't judge a book by its cover!!!

  • theres only one way to worship and thats in spirit and in truth

  • Beau.... simply beau!

  • This dance is beautiful and the dancer is very talented; I commend her for using an opporunity such as this to minister God's message. However, regardless of the setting, when you are ministering a worship dance, modesty is essential. She has entirely too much exposed, top and bottom, for worship. This outfit chanes her ministry to a performance and causes the focus to be drawn from the message to her clothing and her body. My comments are not meant to tear down, but to educate.

  • @merdemil it's not a worship dance...it is a secular dance competition where the competitors are required to dress that way. and for a competition, she is actually very covered up.

  • @merdemil I could n't agree with you more!

  • Amazing & beautiful! I'm so impressed that someone would choose a worship song for a performance

  • Sorry, don't care what you all are saying. To appropriately dance to this type of song more coverage was needed underneath her skirt. But I guess this wasn't a chuch setting so....there ya go.

  • I would have to say that the costume is very Inappropriate for the song. When you give thanks to the Lord, or praise him in front of other people especially praise dancing, your body should be covered. Her stomach and back should have been covered, and if she was going to keep on doing the heel stretches, she should have had on leggings. It was a distraction to see her briefs repeatedly while praising God in front of a whole ocean of people. I’m sorry but that is unpleasing and unsatisfying.

  • I think, it depends on what her goal was with this dance. Was she just competing? Or was she trying to glorify God? If she was trying to glorify God then she should have picked more modest clothing. If she was just competing, then it is fine for her to do that, but I do not think wearing that would glorify God. so it all just depends on her intentions.

  • Chills! Awesome job!

  • This was beautiful. I hope she won because that was a job well done.

  • Taking praise into the competition arena is a beautiful witness. The kingdom of God needs to take every earthly mountain. Worship is life! When a competitor takes their God given gifting into all their world...I know all of heaven is joining in! On earth as it is in heaven! Beautiful job! Bravo!!

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • TO all the stupid CRITICS: Dang! This is not a PRAISE DANCE, she just happens to be using a Christian song, This is (repeat after me) A DANCE COMPETITION..A DANCE COMPETITION!

  • @fortvalleystate wow...what a distasteful comment. She had the boldness to take her God given gift and display it in an arena that rarely has this type of music....and put her focus on God. I thought it was a great way to display her heart.

  • I agreee, and she is outstanding, and i am tired of peole harkiing on her, so that is why I sais it is a competition not a church. she is amazing!

  • what is that one spin move she keeps doind called? her leg is kicked all the way up to her face and her toes are pointed. its like a standing split turn?

  • it's informaly called a "spinning leg hold"...i don't know the formal name but most dance teachers will probably know what you're talking about

  • @msordinaryice i think it's called a needle turn,

  • your dance and movements brought glory to the King and added to the lyrics of the song :)

  • beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this was very beautiful but when praise dancing or dancing to spiritual music the focus should be totally on the words acted out in praise and not distracted by the dancers body; great ! ! !

  • I feel you there, more modest clothing

  • finally a dance with some emotion!!!! amazing!!!!!! great job!

  • Wow...she's an incredible dancer :)

  • Great song... Great dance. I hope you won... Continue to excel in God's goodness. Awesome job!!!

  • amazing.. i dont have anything negative to say about this! u used the stage, had incredible emotion, turned beautifuly, and every movement u made just flowed! bravo!

  • best dance solo ive ever seen to date

  • amen!!!!!!!!!!!! this wasnt just acting out the song which most do. Dancing should be dancing. God gave us all different talents and everyone wasnt made to praise dance. anyone can get up there and act out what the song is saying but it takes a dancer to dance a dance of praise.

  • wow this looks effortless. beautiful.

  • You have beautiful feet and I think you are a lovely dancer. If you had a little more choreography I think you would be amazing!

  • she dancing, its not like its sexual in any way!?

its a beautiful dance! why would you even comment on her costume? thats just so odd! this whole dance is INNOCENT and beautiful!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Haha! Thats too funny....

  • wow...

  • one little question...why didnt you audition for AMERICAS GOT TALENT? I think you can dance, thats my humble opinion. as long as GOD/JESUS is pleased and you were led by HOLY SPIRIT, its coolness.

  • Beautiful! This really is an amazing dance:) What studio do you dance at?

  • Wow gumbionics, what a critic. I thought the whole thing was beautiful, and costume was appropiate. You could be simon Cowell's twin.

  • Funny gumbionics...I dont see your video up here. Perhaps you'd like to show us you dancing so we can all judge you?

  • so beautiful

  • what a beautiful little petite fae

  • very goood

  • I totally love the dance and it ministers to me. Why do you put God in a Box. Who are we to say whether this stands or falls before God. That the name of Jesus is mentioned in every way, in bars, in dance hall, in shows on the road, at schools, is all to his glory. Whether it be in word or song or dance, they can not say that they never heard. not all ministry is for the Church. This lady probably has provide more testimony of Christ through this single video than most of us every will i

  • I agree with your posts totally. Who are 'we' to judge or even say anything about what she is wearin? I feel as though it's proper 'dance' uniform and it's a beautiful dance that if you stop focusing on her clothin you'd notice. people are so worried about what people wear and do that they actually forget about the whole letting GOD do the judgin. I totally understand that there has to be a limit to things but she's not in a church. she's dressed properly for the competition.

  • I am a hiphop dancer and I do it all for the Glory of God and I get spoken of all the time and I dont care. I do it for God and that's all that matters. PEOPLE our job as Christians is to spread the gospel which is LOVE and let God handle his business which is the res. Stop talkin crap and remember to encourage everyone. There's no edification in judgement. I'm so tired of people worryin about clothing make-up and all that when we should be worryin about the lost souls (sorry) let me stop here.

  • beautiful dance! there is ministry and there is performance. I cannnot impose how God has meant for the body of Christ to be ministered in the dance, on this young woman. This was a performance. carnal dance is interpretive, not ministerial. Other than the ALABASTER box not being ALABASTER(white) i thought the dance was nice. just not spiritual. I encourage you to continue to dance, but ask God what your purpose in life is. We all have gifts to bless others. Keep dancing.

  • This dance was amazing! I luvv the song! its gorgeous! And as for the whole costume thing im a christian and i dance and i dont see anythign wrong with this it is a little skimpy but oh well she is skinny enough to wear it and it is still very pretty and it goes witht he theme of the dance.

  • i dont see anything wrong with it either its covering hr body and its not exposeing aanything and does it matter she is dancing to a song with so much magniacence and beauty to express how much shes loves him thats all that matters

  • the dance has no spritual substance at all!!!

  • @newgeolem I agree... This is more ballet. Not saying nothing is wrong with ballet, but I don't feel anything from this dance. Not only that the dancer needs to be covered from head to toe.

  • It's a very beautifull song, and the props she used are nice too.

But there is a difference between performing and ministering.

So it was a great performance! although it's a competition a dance minister would have worn a proper worship garment, so I guess she just a very talented girl

  • This difference between performance and ministry is the Holy Spirit. He alone controls that difference. We do what we can and prayer. Ministry is the domain of the Spirit. That's why Jesus said wait until he comes. It is arrogant to think otherwise and to presume to assume who he can and can not use to minister.

  • Gobarton, yes I understand, and I agree, but I want to point out something, what you say is true, but that doesn't mean that the next time I dance, I can dance naked, because if God want to use me,He will.

If God wanted he could let a rock do this dance and it would still minister to the song. But why would God give us direction in what to wear if when ministering, if we can go up on stage half naked, and still think that God can use us evertime we do that., we are crazy

  • it might not make it right but god will forgive us for doing it and any way if your still ministering to god does it matter what your wearing as long as you doing it in his name?

  • No dancer just wears underwear underneath their costume and especially not a dancer of this ability.

I think you all need to grow up a bit.

    PS.

    YOUR AN AMAZING DANCER! :)

  • ARE. YOU. KIDDING.

Youre worried about what she is wearing.

I was waiting for the video to load, and so I read all these comments.

& was thinking, oh whats this going to be

What the hell is your problem!?

Unless your like skin-o-phobic theres nothing wrong with it!

Im guessing youve never been to the beach...

She is wearing a strapped top. It even covers her stomach. Then she has a long skirt, and those things underneath? You may have heard of them, theyre called PANTS.

  • SOMETHING GOOD WILL HAPPEN TO U AT 9:10 SOMEONE WILL CALL YOU OR TALK TO YOU ONLINE AND SAY I LOVE YOU OR ASK YOU OUT BUT HERES THE CATCH Send To 3 vids

  • The dance was beautiful. As for the dress, it would be inappropriate in church, but this was a competition. If the dancer is OK with what she had on, I suppose others ought not to judge what's in her heart.

  • OMG PEOPLE WHO CARES WHAT SHE IS WEARING!!!! ITS JUST A DANCE OUTFIT! GET OVER IT!!

THERE ARE MORE REVEALING OUTFITS IN DANCE!

Dont like it? then either get used to it or stop watching dance competition videos..geez

    -_-

  • Who really knows what is in my Alabaster Box? That is the mystery:)

  • That was very pretty...just like to the woman with the Alabaster Box, people judged her based on what they thought pleased God. Your dance was a blessing to me no matter what you were wearing (Christian or not). Thank you for sharing :)

  • this song is the most beautiful, touching, pure song and i like your dancing but it takes away from the song and the ministring from what is being worn because its a distraction because the men are just focusing on a different part while your dancing and thats just something to keep in mind ya know GReat dancing though.

  • i agree with u totally. the dance has no spritual substance

  • I agree with u totally. the dance has no spritual substance at all... !

  • I think some people are missing the mark because this is dance competition. This is my favorite song. I am a prasie dance minister myself. Not by technique, but by a gift from God. You dance to this song very gracefully. I had to overlook the fact that it was a gospel song and realize that it was a competition. Your techniques are wonderful. Next time, slow it down a little and watch how much your flow change. You ought to consider praise dancing. Totally different from professional dancing.

  • whenever you do piroutes (spelling) and your wearing a skirt/dress you going to be able to see up it.

    geez, get over it.

  • excellent! unlike most others... i was touched by the movements so much that what you were wearing didn't phase me. i appreciate the art of dance... and u used dance to tell a great story of compassion, passion, and honest feelings. Christian or not, God used you to bless me.

  • She danced too fast. Slower movements would be more fitting for this song.

  • I agree she was dancing to fast and for this type of song I think she could have wore a more tastefull top .... just for my taste I think it was to revealing for a Gospel song.

  • Well i think the dance was beautiful, especially after the piruettes at the start which were a little shaky. It told the story quite well and the outfit was quite nice

  • Where did you get the outfit? I love it!

  • she is pretty good, the turns were kinda off in the beginning and too much with the face. she looks like she is trying to hard and you just need to feel the music and go with it. still it was a good job

  • who were an outfit like that and dance gospel?

  • I thought the exact same thing .... it was so untasteful for this type of song and her dress could have been a little longer also because you could see up it several times .... even though she was wearing a suit like thing it was still to revealing for this song.

  • This dance is beautiful.. But at the start i wasnt sure it was going to be good as the pirouettes were shaky at the end, but i think they may have nerves as they were perfect later on. Excellent jetes!! Well done!

  • Come on, daaancewithmeee! The song might be a powerful well love gospel song, but the dance is very povocative, just do your home work on this girl and you will see that she is a professional dancer, it is easy for her to interpretiate any song. but I AM TELLING YOU THAT ,THAT IS ALL THERE IS TO IT. CAN A MAN WORSHIP GOD WHILE COMMITTING ADULTERY AT THE SAME TIME? I don't think so! Worship garments should be sacred, this is not just any other dancing.

  • You are horrible

  • I was directing this at "Brohendy"...I think you are a gread dancer =)

  • Comment removed

  • I really don't see how this dance is provocative

  • Though you did a good job dancing and interpreting this powerful song. The question I have is; Was you just being a professional, doing a dance or was you Ministering and worshipping God in dance? Your garments and your exposure suggests to me that you were not doing the latter.

  • I think this dance is beautiful, her costume is perfectly appropriate. If you are familiar with dance costumes, they are to enhance the dance, but not inhibit it. This costume does just that. She is not exposing her body in an inappropriate way nor is she dancing in one. And I, personally, think that she can worship the Lord however she feels is right and it is not up to you or me to judge whether or not it is 'correct'. I don't mean to be arguementative in anyway. I was just pointing this out.

  • @daaancewithmeee Nope...if this is suppose to be for the Lord, that outfit is NOT appropriate. Hands down!

  • @JLady590 this is a competition piece for a secular Dance Competition. in a competition, dancers have to wear costumes that allow the judges to see their technique. actually her costume is conservative by those standards. if you knew anything about the dance world you would understand that instead of making ignorant comments. she is not in a church...she is on a secular stage and her costume is fine.

  • @29psalm Well said, let us stop being so religious about everything....amen

  • wonderful dancing. and wonderful song. i like it when people use a solo as an oppurtunity to represent Christ. and she danced beautifully.

  • you are so great! I LOVE your jette's and your flexibility. awesome dance from Loni

  • That was really nice, and refreshing. Its annoying seeing all these little girls doing deep songs that they dont even know what they are about. It looked like she put her soul into that dance.

    Really good fouttes!

  • This is an amazing and powerful dance! What a talented dancer!

  • your amazing!

it was just kinda sloppy at the end,

  • fluidity is amazing! such great control! very talented dancer!

  • woah amazing excellent, i like it, perfect 100 % for me.

  • bueatiful, ive seen alot of praise dances this was one of the best

  • This is one of my fav dance videos of all time.

  • around 2:26 was absolutly amazing!

  • GET OFF MY VIDEOS!!!!!!!!

  • I don't know who did that and how, but I just want to apologize that some cunt abused my account (or just name) to post this crappy comment

  • ok, now i deleted it anyway

  • Very Nice. I love the fact that you danced to a Gosple song. The song spoke to people's lives as well. Keep it up.

  • OMG!!! YOU ARE TRES AMAZING!!!!! I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW AMAZING YOU LOOK. THE FLUIDITY OF YOUR DANCING IS SO INCREDIBLE!!!!!! WOW!!!! And fyi, the uniform could not have been more perfect. I especially love how you chose white, a symbol of purity.

  • one of my fav melissa barlow dances... the outfit is beautiful!

  • Well, it was good. I enjoyed it atleast...

My only issue is that when dancing to a praise song you should always be covered up...i shouldn't be seing undergarments (bodysuits etc..) or belly skin and stuff...For anything else the costume would be nice/fine but not for the song.

  • wow you have such talent and God is so pleased when you use it for him this way. good job! u r amazing!

  • on her turns she is bouncing all over the place. shes okay

  • Wow, to me, Praise Dance is much more better when you got some skills. This is amazing.

  • Great job!!!! You were very good and an amazing dancer!!!! Beautiful song too. :-)

  • Beautiful..wow and I love that song..that's one of my favorite's from Ce Ce Winans

  • Ahhhhmmmmaaaazzzziiinnngggg.

  • great extension but the control needs some work and the choreography was boring

  • you are amazing

work on controllin them leg hold turns tho.

    :)

you have some tallent girl, keep it goin

  • wow i cant dance near as good as her

  • great extension.

  • perfect form

  • her costume is right out of the Fifth Element movie!

  • absolutely beautiful. amazing extensions

  • i'm guessing that you are professional, but you don't minister in dance at churches, do you?

    You dance beautifully.

  • that was very good! you could have made it a little bit calmer. my studio did a dance to this last year. never stop dancing.

  • that was beautiful!!!!!!you are amazing!!!!!keep on dancing!!!!

  • Oh my goodness. You have me in tears. That was beautiful. God Bless You.

  • hey does anyone at ur studio do tap

  • yaaay this one was in mineapolis

  • 1:24-1:25>>>That was beautiful how she expressed how she still came after all the toil.

  • love it!

  • it is great!!..GOD BLESS YOU!!.if only i have the grace..hahaha..your good!!

  • i love dat song n gur u danced it beautifulli i lov ur extentionsz n ur supensionsz

  • that was awesome! I love the costume also. Fits well with the song.

    :)

    What place did she score?

  • SO BEAUTIFUL!!! NEVER, Never stop dancing, it will keep you young and beautiful, in body health, but most of all DANCE because you love it! it brought me such JOY, I quit dancing, don't do it, you are so talented and blessed from God, Never stop loving JESUS!!!!!

  • graceful! i love ur "fall" lol and your extensions are awesome

  • No negative comments here! I loved all your extensions. Maybe its because this is one of my favorite songs EVER...but I thought it was great. I didn't think your outfit was revelaing. I thought the entire thing was so tasteful. It fit the song perfect.

  • wow your amazing

    how old are you???

  • Just curious was this a lyricle category? the competitions my daughter goes to props are only allowed for novelty or pantomime. If you use any prop, your dance will be moved to the novelty category, and if you have a novelty already, it will be disqualified. kind of silly if you ask me. There was a very young boy disqualified for tap because he took his hat off.

And as far as your dancing goes, I could watch you all day! So graceful!!!Keep up the great work

  • Beutiful darling!

  • Wonderful.
