I don't see why people are busting the 4G eclipse GT...that stock motor is a 3.8L MIVEC putting out 265 hp @ 5,750 rpm and 262 ft lb of torque @ 4,500 rpm... Pretty respectable numbers for that class of car... Now add in bolt on mods and you're approaching 300.. stage 1 supercharger at a gentle 5 psi can get you to the 340-350 range.

There not racing each other, there racing the time. even if the mustang started late the clock doesnt start until it pulls from the start line and it ends when he crosses the finish line. kind of a useless drive here but a drag race on a strip works by who puts the faster time. if the mustang did this in 12 seconds even with its late start, and the eclipse did it in 13 seconds with the fast jump, who do you think wins?

The Mustang GT has the Eclipse beat in most catagories... I say this and I have a '06 Eclipse GT.. The Mustang is only 4 hundredths of a second faster on 0-60. Its like 6.4 and the Eclipse GT is around 6.8, at least htats what the stats showed on line

Big difference between a 2000 eclipse and a 2006+ eclipse V6. Quoted 0-60 times are 5.8 seconds and a quarter mile of 14.4 seconds if I'm not mistaken. The mustang GT however, should have won this...looked like he didn't take off very well.
What year is your V6 mustang, and is it stock? Because stock versus stock, a 2000 eclipse gt v6 is a decent amount faster than a pre-2005 v6 mustang. Even if you have an 05+ mustang v6 with the 210hp engine, it's still a driver's race.

The Mustang GT has the Eclipse beat in most catagories... I say this and I have a '06 Eclipse GT.. The Mustang is only 4 hundredths of a second faster on 0-60. Its like 6.4 and the Eclipse GT is around 6.8, at least htats what the stats showed on line

yogi, you need to mature dawg. how old are you, my guess would be 8. i've raced my friends 2000 gt ecipse in my v6 mustang and beat it. anybody who thinks eclipses are faster than mustangs are sorely mistaken. the only thing eclipses have on mustangs is top speed, because they don't have a gov. unlike mustangs. but that's nothing a chip couldn't fix.

Big difference between a 2000 eclipse and a 2006+ eclipse V6. Quoted 0-60 times are 5.8 seconds and a quarter mile of 14.4 seconds if I'm not mistaken. The mustang GT however, should have won this...looked like he didn't take off very well.

What year is your V6 mustang, and is it stock? Because stock versus stock, a 2000 eclipse gt v6 is a decent amount faster than a pre-2005 v6 mustang. Even if you have an 05+ mustang v6 with the 210hp engine, it's still a driver's race.
