@fondyboi Well, don't even look at a BMW 3-series then. You'll be sorely disappointed. You don't even get a full LCD screen as standard. They give you a one or two line display for the radio, with the climate control being separate (of course you could get an idrive, but then you'll need an IT degree to run it and it costs an arm and a leg).
German are good but waaayy overpriced because you are paying for image. Now that really sucks. WTF would you pay for an image, don't you have your own or does that suck too?

@blackaxe36 The appearance looks the same because it is from the same general model, the B8, though some of the components have changed slightly (such as the engine, which is now designed by Audi). The B8 design was introduced in 2009 and is the current model. There are rumors that Audi may update the appearance for 2013. You could relate this to the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S; they look the same, but have slightly different components inside.
@blackaxe36 I'm not a huge fan of the new 3 series, mainly because it resembles the 5 series too much (almost too boxy; Of course Audi has similar looking models too... personal preference we'll call it). This 3 series may grow on me when I see one first hand, though I'm sure it'll be like the current BMW models, where every option cost a hand and a leg (and half the other leg). @llcooljay18 If the controls for the screen are located behind the gear shifter, it means that you have the navigation setup, or MMI. If the controls are above the AC controls, then there is NO navigation on the screen interface thing (its not called the MMI... the term escapes me at the moment). Essentially, every other feature is the same between the two systems (both can show radio, AC setting, seat heater settings and other car options).
@XscXps3 From what I have seen, the Tiptronic transmission has only six gears, whereas the CVT (Multitronic) transmission has eight gears (though because it's a CVT, they aren't actually gears in the traditional sense, more gear ratios).
@dlphnwx I would say from experience that the acceleration from both stand still and highway speeds is above par for the mid-level sedan category. Compared to the 2011 BMW 328i (steptronic: 6.9 sec), acceleration in the A4 (Tiptronic: 6.3 sec, CVT: 7.2 sec) feels so much more fulfilling. This would have to do with the extra torque (BMW 200 fp/torque and Audi 258 fp/torque). The A4 feels like it just wants to rocket up to highway speeds, and highway overtaking is also exceedingly enjoyable.
@dlphnwx Like they said, the 0-60 time is average at best, however it feels much stronger than its competitors. It has a buttload of torque which is really usable on the street. I just traded in my E90 M3 for a 2.0t A4, and I am quite happy with it. Its easier to throw around in traffic. When it becomes available, Im going to give it an APR stage 2 flash which should increase the torque to damn near 360... delicious. I love how easy it is to get power out of factory turbo engines.
