@HaloFTW117 I have seen many documentaries about Stalin’s terror and have never had a problem with them. That’s because those were made by groups of historians who checked everything that was said. The Soviet Story was made by one guy who isn’t even a historian, but a "master of political science". That alone makes it anything but objective, the single most important virtue of any contribution to history. Without objectivity you have nothing more than propaganda, which is EXACTLY what the SS is.

Russia today isn’t exactly a model democracy, yet has in recent years managed to take huge steps in admitting its painful past (Putin visit to Katy, Medvedev to Ukraine, film about Katyn shown on national Russian TV).

Here in Europe several countries won’t even admit to crimes committed by them in the past (Italy for example). Turkey, a future EU member, denies the genocide against the Armenians.
