There are to many people complaining about Seth Rogen as the Green Hornet. After rewatching some of the shows and listening to the radio broadcasts from the original Series (It was a Radio serial before it was a comic dumbasses.) I've realized that none of them have a Origin Story for the Green Hornet. They always start off near the middle of his adventurous life. And never really explain why he does what he does. This movie plans to do that.
,I don't doubt Gondry ability,skills and directing methods. However,in his book , one of his quotes was something like "When people are very original, sometimes they are original as a way to resist the mainstream." He refers to actors who input the way a character should be played. Seth Rogen,always plays the geek- stubborn-doofuses in slap-stick comedies. Hey!, He is perfect for that,however, playing the Green Hornet is a different game.
The Green Hornet is a very dark,edgy character and Seth Rogen don't project that image at all. I can assure u that the people who r writing here,don't have anything against Rogen but they r concerned "The Green Hornet" will be portrayed by someone whose whole career has been portraying goofy-geek type characters. I don't criticize Rogen for doing that,in fact, He should stick to that type of character, He is good at that. now,portraying THE GREEN HORNET" is another kind of animal.(cont.)

We should start protesting everywhere and let Seth Rogen know that his bloated ego is not going to damage a great franchise. They filmed some of this at mt work. There we're some incredible shoot out scenes going on. Honestly, as much as I tried to see it, Seth Rogan looked out of place in this movie shoot even though he looked like he lost alot of weight...was a bad idea I think.

What the "F" were they thinking.

They all disrespected the fan base of the property, and turned the property into something completely differant from what that fan base had accepted the property as being. Now we have Green Hornet, with Seth Rogen playing him as a drunken frat boy. Hollywood never learns.
seth is playing britt like an overgrown, manchild, who bonds with kato over mutual hatred of britts father. one night they both get drunk and decide to cut the head off of britt's dad'd statue. He ties a green handkerchief over his face to kind is identity as they do this, and this is the start of britt's "career" as the hornet. good to see rogen can rape a classic character, all to give himself an extra minute of fame.
The Green Hornet vs. The Burger King, that guy on the commercials wth the smiling King Head... yeah that's a match-up for Seth Rogen. That villian is more ruthless than the Joker...

Ben Afleck portrayed a troubled Matt Murdock full of anger, looking to fulfill his need for revenge by dressing up as a devil, realizing in the end the meaning of justice.

Ok Matt Damon is fine How tall is he? anyone who believes in Seth Rogan doesn't understand the true meaning of REPRESENTATION! All of my comrades agree with me that Rogan SUCKS! and the fact that this should not be meant to be campy, the 60's series wasn't campy (thanks to Bruce Lee) and the producers shouldn't insult this revitalized franchise with a comedic content in this movie. They could really blow this thing up to a phenomenon if they do this right especially with the martial arts input.

This is extreme stupidity! The Green Hornet & Kato is no a damn comedy! Jet Li or Stephen Chow should obviously play the role as Kato. And the Green Hornet should be played by Ben Afleck or Jason Statham (The Transporter movies & Crank). This movie should be action packed and pushed for success worldwide! Its a damn shame with this Green Hornet & Kato production! The casting is all wrong!

Jet Li isn't a young spring chicken anymore but he's still capable of performing the martial arts necessary to pull off the Kato part. The Green Hornet and Kato were not portrayed as a couple of clowns in the t.v series, and if your'e not going to do it right don't do it at all.
