  • GT not GT40

  • Holy shit! With slicks on, this thing would fucking LAUNCH!!

  • not trying to be an asshole or anything but please change the tiitle from GT40 to Ford GT... 05+ production was just Ford GT... Classics were known as the GT40's.... not much of a difference but i was hoping to see a classic TT not a new one...

  • @SSGixxerSixxer well there is a big difference, but there isnt anyone dumb enough 2 destroy an original GT40 with TT's - replicas yes but not an original

  • didnt know ford made jets

  • Turbos were used in drag racing in the States in the old daysin Willys, and other classic cars..Learn your history man..GeneralTieb..

  • I seriously cant believe the IDIOTS that now claim using one power adder or another is NOT american.

seriously? how much more idiotic are you going to get arguing over OTHER parts of a cars origins?

I wonder where most of the raw materials come from to build these "american parts" these days.... cause there arent that many mines and quarries in north america for iron and other metallic ores used for creating all sorts of metals used in cars today.

  • knew this was huntington before i read description.. so many insane projects going on in the industrials

  • SAAAAAAWWEEEEET!

  • Launch controller seems to need some tuneup

  • nice gt

  • Sounds just like GT5

  • Trolls will argue a dumb point forever. Nice Ford GT.

  • This isn't a GT40... It's just a Ford GT....

  • nahhh ill take my ferrari 599 black

  • That thing needs a drag chute.

  • new clutch please.

  • Japanese ricers watch this video and are like "Chamn dat shhit fascht"

  • @liftedJ33P American inbreds watch Gas Motorsport's Celica and are like "3.4L can do daa, oh shii".

  • @HeyMan096 no joke, im a HUGE 2jz fan, touche

  • @liftedJ33P i own one

  • @liftedJ33P lol.... ty

  • SICK!

  • 91 octane,,,,,,,,, LOL why bother

  • I worked on launch control quite a bit, but I had to train my right foot and butt. I guess a twin turbo and tons of power could be downright inpossible to control using throttle only. Kinda like some two stroke dirt bikes, I don't care how little throttle yer giving it, when it's on the pipe it wants to git it with the littlest prod. Nice lookin ride, but one thing, enough power is enough, too much can detract from the experience.

  • itll pass anything but the gas station

  • Can't corner? this car had a 1-2-3 le mans finish before honda made a car with over 100 hp... (ferrari threatened to drop out of le mans unless there were displacement resitrictions to eliminate this car), the car's not ugly, the wing is. ae86 are slow as shit, uglier than all fuckin sin, have no class, and initial d is gay. Call me when japan wins a few serious races. JDM "classic" = heritagless bastard go-kart's.

  • more like the sound of disappointment...it's like any other american bucket, badass until the first corner or if it doesn't have 1000 extra bhp to beat a european car

  • @NSRacer114 preach my brother preach!

  • @NSRacer114 When this car released in 2005 there wasn't a Ferrari around that was better. This car is a celebration of Ferrari's humiliation to put it in the words of Jeremy Clarkson when the GT40 won at Le mans 3 times and had a 1 2 3 finish.

  • @Iosis6 This car is a tribute to Ferrari. As it was mr. Ford himself who was so pissed that Enzo Ferrari wouldnt sell him the company. He decided to basically copy Enzo Ferraris style of car making and try and beat him at his own game. Which he did in Le Mans. But nonetheless the original GT40 was nothing but a design copy of the Ferraris of its day.

  • @PeculiarTactics Stop crying cause you can't afford one. Get back in your civic and shut the fuck up bitch. After you look shit up on google and troll on here of course.

  • @MisterPeetBull Firstly im not trolling im stating fact. I never looked anything up on google i read this fact in a book i own called 365 cars you must drive. And im not sure how i am crying about anything? It seems to me that you are quite angry at the fact that the GT40 was not an american design at all. Just an american copy of an italian design. The GT40 dominated in Le Mans anyways so why should it matter?

  • @PeculiarTactics This car is no tribute to Ferrari. Its a tribute to the original GT40. And the original was a Ford motor on a British chassis with British body design. A copy does not beat the original. Therefore the GT40 is no copy. It was superior to the Ferrari 250 that it was beating back in the day at LeMans.

  • @Iosis6 Fact is fact. The GT40 is a copy of the Ferraris of its day. Dont get so much pride involved my man lol.

  • @PeculiarTactics I would have pride if I owned a Ford GT but I was stating a simple fact. I was correcting someone else. I don't see how its a copy anyway. The only 2 things these cars really have in common is mid-enigne and 2 seats. That would be the way it was today anyway. Go back 50 years and the GT40 had a V8mid-engine layout and the 250 GTO had a V12 in the front. Hardly a copy.

  • @Iosis6 Ferrari 250LM lol kid you dont even know your car history.....

  • @PeculiarTactics What that what the other guy said was true that Ford tried to buy out Ferrari and they decided not to sell it to them? And that he told his engineers to make a car that would beat them at Le Mans? I don't know which part I don't know. Maybe you should tell me all about it since you know so much. I am sure your are probably old enough to have been around at the time to be able to recall the exactly how it all was anyway right?

  • @PeculiarTactics i dont see how Ford copied Enzo Ferrari in any way shape or form....

the GT40 was built as a "Fuck You" to Enzo for not selling Ferrari stock options.

  • @Iosis6 I agree with your history lesson. The only way this car relates to FERRARI.....is the fact that it beat FERRARI at Le Mans

  • wtf is this?

  • Hp;y shit that's nice, look at that license plate shake!

  • My dream car <3

  • ROFL omg the car was vibrating across the ground when he floored it (Before the launch) look closely at the wheels XD thats crazy

  • Your not going to impress anyone with that sound

  • Hell yeah! Watch that ass shake.

  • all of the gran turismo GTR kids think the launch control referenced on this video is electronic traction controlled launch control...if they knew shit about turbocharged cars and/or drag racing they would know its a way to build boost when staging. they would also probably know that ford gts dont have electronic traction control launch control...

  • that thing looked and sounded horrible. and it wasnt a gt40, just a GT.

I'll take a stock ford gt thank you. looks a lot better

  • Comment removed

  • @XxGanjaXXGOD not once did i say i didnt know what it was called. all i said was it sounded and looked like shit, just cause you told me what its called doesnt change that it still sounds like shit

  • Comment removed

  • @XxGanjaXXGOD idc if a stock gt would get raped cause you cant use that kind of speed on the actual road and that wing makes the car look completely different than a stock and yes it is still ugly with the wing. i can build fast stuff but im not going to take an amazing looking gt and turn into looking like that

  • @daniel55645 nevada you can, only need about a mile, which is what this car was built for...texas mile, cant use alot of things but we still buy them. Man i gotta 900hp 71 monte carlo that i drive every day til winter.screw supercharger ftw lol

  • @XxGanjaXXGOD you dont have shit...you lie and troll

  • @zooders Whatever you say fucking faggot that would take a garbage ass gt over this beast. go drive your honda.

  • @XxGanjaXXGOD dont drive a hond...have a ae86 completely stock

  • @zooders Gay

  • @XxGanjaXXGOD you supposedly drive what is referred to as a fat chick car. i drive a fully restored classic jdm...rather have a wussy four banger than a fat chick car with a blower...good for you for having a car that more drive by shootings and date rapes are committed...i salute you

  • @zooders LOL A FAT CHICK CAR?its okay your butt hurt i called your piece of shit toyota gay. LOLOLOLOLOLOL where the hell did you come up with that "fact" or "statistic".You are more retarded then i thought.

  • @zooders We old schoolers have a hard time adjusting to the change in the balance of world horsepower. I have a v8 Lexus, it's so damn sweet, and I make my living owning a shop, raced stock cars for years, burn up the twistys on a BMW airhead GS, and have old cars. I have a 40 prestine Pontiac businessman's coupe. If I was gonna rod it, I'l like to have a Lexus V8 init. But if you gave me a choice of any car I'd be real tempted to have a 69 Z28, they were the cat's meow with their little 302.

  • @daniel55645 the turbos sound fucking amazing so i have no idea what your talking about...

  • listened to those turbos spoolin right before he launches....maybe 1003.4 times...so redic

  • launch control test---failed

  • @Ivannos92 wrong

  • @XxGanjaXXGOD do you even know what a launch control is?

  • That could also be called launch control, it's basically just a 2step to build up boost.

  • @Purepromedia it is a 2 step and it did its job

  • launch controll is either turned off or its broken

  • far out what a screamer

  • Wellt cletis.. it done dont seem ta work.

  • gay spoiler literally spoiled the car

  • That voids the warenty doesnt it?

  • @Basketball233023 anything voids a warrenty.. even a scratch in the paint.

  • Launch Control Test - Failed

  • Shh Shh. You hear that? It's the sound of Civics committing suicide.

  • man, imagine it with a bee*r rev limiter.. holy shit machine gun haha

  • i want one....

  • I'm so glad its a Ford gt? I was about to say "who in their right mind would defile an icon like the gt40 with turbos?" Awesome Ford GT!

  • not tryin to be a douche and i know its gonna sound like it but thats a ford gt not a gt40

  • that is fucking awesome.. :O

  • I love that spoiler Fits that Ford gt

  • Launch control...? :|

  • sounds like 2 step launch control

  • sounds incredibly shitty

  • @335ipower11 you drive a bmw and you think that sounds shity... your Pureto Rican right?

  • My crx would smoke that.. Just sayin

  • @TheNIGGERAPPLE shut the fuck up

  • @TheNIGGERAPPLE yea good luck with that your crx would tremble in fear at that supercar.... if it even starts

  • launch control is my foot slipping the clutch. the only thing ive seen better is on the GTR

  • He turn corners?...

  • LIKE BAR:

    GREEN BAR = AMERICAN DICK

    RED BAR = ASIAN DICK

  • @anthonybellow1 LOL YUS!

  • I think what's more impressive is the transmission. He dropped the clutch while pegging the RPMs and both turbos completely spooled. That takes a rock solid trans to take that kind of power at that hard of a jolt.

  • How is this car not running 98 octane fuel? The lowest octane you can buy here in Australia is 91. Mad as fuck car btw.

  • Friggn sick.

  • Fuck i blink :)

  • Dear Santa.............

  • god damn. thats sick

  • the very advanced Launch Control System in this car is also known as the "clutch"

  • am i right wehn i say that a launch control should provide from wheelspinn??

  • hmmm.

    I'm gonna guess America...

  • thats sound of pure American horse power

  • @GeneralTieb so pure american horsepower sounds like my food processor with wooden sticks in it?

  • @GeneralTieb sounded rougher than a bag full of assholes actually

  • @GeneralTieb haha thts wat u think

  • @GeneralTieb it actually sounds shit on the limiter.. :/

  • @SubaruImpreza1996 you sir are a retard, now get back to your piece of shit subaru

  • @GeneralTieb except it was designed, parts were produced, and the car was put together in Europe. But if it makes the detroit fanboys feel any better...

  • @GeneralTieb since when is turbo american?

  • @loveEncsi since the term "no replacement for displacement" proved to be false with the Ferrari 288 GTO.... and then we stopped denying it 20+ years later.

  • @bnm5015 That wasn't naturally aspirated.

  • @MisterPeetBull yes i know, i was responding to the statement about why is american muscle now turbo'd. The Ferrari 288GTO was a turbo, beating 4.0 liter NA cars with a smaller turbo'd engine because the regulations stated that a turbo would theoretically increase power equal to a NA engine with 1.4x the displacement, when in fact it increased it by much more, so thats why the GTO won.

  • @bnm5015 Google another retort.

  • @MisterPeetBull unfortunately you can't google extra IQ points, learn to read and think about what was being posted before you respond and make yourself sound stupid... I know about the 288 GTO because I go to Ferrari Challenge events where rich owners of Ferraris love to talk to you about their cars, and I've driven/rode in/seen in person almost every car I post about. Exceptions being the Bugatti and extremely rare cars. I'm not calling people "fucking ricer moron"s, troll.

  • @bnm5015 nice one. *its* such a sad troll that peetbull. he should get some knowledge and stop insulting people. don't bother with it, trolls always think they are right. but im glad to see a fellow car entusiast, cheers mate!;)

  • @MisterPeetBull I have watched Le Mans and Formula 1 racing since I was a little kid, rare for an American. You, troll, just assume everyone who knows more than you MUST look it up on google because that is obviously your only source of knowledge. Go find a nice girl and have some nice sex so maybe you'll chill out and stop trolling car videos.

  • @bnm5015 Keep trollin son, I didn't even read your comment.

  • @MisterPeetBull Grow up Peter Pan, you're almost 30.

  • @loveEncsi Since they put turbos on the Mustang back in the 80's and on the trans am in the 70's. The turbo was invented by an American. Fucking ricer moron.

  • @MisterPeetBull damn. plz get some knowledge before you post a comment, and then maybe you wont look so stupid. first of all, the first american cars that had a turbo was from the 60-ties. Saurer was firs with a turbo on the road, and that road was not in america but in *switzerland*. and third and most important.. the turbo was not invented in america you moron. it was invented in **Switzeland** by a man named Alfred Büchi who also got hes patent for the turbo in 1905. fucking moron-_-

  • @loveEncsi Good job with your cut sand paste. You are a true troll, getting info from Google and cutting and pasting it onto here. Can't win an argument with a troll, and you are a troll in every sense. Keep trolling homo.

  • @loveEncsi It's funny trolls like you don't even have cars, yet you think you know it all about them.

  • @MisterPeetBull i had my first car when i was 15, and you?:) its better to have knowledge than giving shity information like you, study a bit, or at least learn to use google so you don't talk shit in the first place . suck it up and learn not to insult others. and do look up trolling to will you. cuz here, only you are a troll. ill help you:"with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response".first step, stop insulting people. now, go on and study:)

  • @loveEncsi A true troll's retort. haha. Oh man, typical. Go google some more shit troll.

  • @MisterPeetBull stupid people never learn. ur sad. get some knowledge and stop trolling

  • @loveEncsi yet another troll retort. Did you google that as well?

  • @loveEncsi and the trolls gets owned, nice comment.

  • @bnm5015 Which one? They were all cut and pasted, in true troll fashion. As were yours. Get a life.

  • @loveEncsi Inventor of the Turbocharger is Alfred Büchi from Switzerland

  • @8meanmachine8 thats what i tried to tell a troll yesterday in the comments below:)

  • @loveEncsi Turbochargers are a type of supercharger....superchargers are American...

  • @SirKowalski666 thats both right and wrong. turbocharger and supercharger are 2 separate things. but yes, they both use the forced induction principle. supercharger was indeed invented in america. but the turbo was not( Switzerland). thats the only point i wanted to make.

  • @loveEncsi The point i'm trying to make is that a turbocharger IS a supercharger, turbochargers are literally a type of supercharger. Superchargers are American.

  • @SirKowalski666 i know that superchargers are american my friend. but the turbo is not, no mater how much you, i or any other person would want it to be. no one can change that fact. feel free to read the comments a bit below. just because they both use forced induction doesent make them the same. and certainly cant make the turbo invented in america.

  • @loveEncsi Superchargers are American, the entire idea of moving air (instead of sucking it in) for various applications was around decades before Louis Renault (imagine that) patented a centrifugal supercharger in the very early 1900's. Basically, the turbosupercharger is a fancy two-sided exhaust driven centrifugal supercharger, the idea of which evolved from the Roots concept of blowing air. This GT40 basically has two exhaust driven centris. We blew air first though, that's the point.

  • @SirKowalski666 how many times do i have to write that *i know* the supercharger is american.im not denying it one bit.but i cant change the fact that the turbo was invented in Switzerland to make you happy.lets say;henry ford made the first successful mass produced car,the A.then lets say volvo, also has 4wheels and a engine and this to is used as a car and the principle is basically the same as the A.but it still doesn't make it american.point being, the turbo was invented in switzerland, not usa

  • @loveEncsi I'm not saying the turbocharger wasn't invented in switzerland, i'm saying the guy who came up with it, got the idea from Renault, who got his idea from us, and what do you know, today the fastest race cars in the world aren't turbocharged, they're roots-blown. Looks like we had it right the first time. A forced induction v8 couldn't BE any more american, turbocharger or not. Like dude said up there, "pure american horsepower". BTW the best turbo applications are by NRE anyway. ;)

  • @SirKowalski666 but here we talk about turbos. first made in Europe, first driven in Europe. so the turbo itself cant be american.thats my point. to categorize all forced induction devices as american is wrong. and this wonderful ford gt(which i adore) would be *pure* american horsepower,if it would have been a supercharger on it insted.or naturally aspirated. but lets stay with that we both have different opinions regarding this matter and have a continued pleasant evening:) (evening in my case)

  • @loveEncsi I was just thinking, it seems like everything goes in a big circle. We came up with blowers, then Renault came up with the centrifugal blower, then a swiss guy came up with an exhaust driven two-sided centrifugal blower, and now some fellas at NRE have come up with their own reversed header/twin turbo designs capable of a 100% streetable 2,500 horsepower small-block v8. We can both agree, if it weren't for everyones contributions, we wouldn't be at this point as far as making power.

  • @SirKowalski666 agree. more power to the people! its good to see that there exist reasonable up here on youtube. i do salute you sir. and that gt is still brilliant;)

  • @loveEncsi since when is turbo any nationality? american cars have it so do japanese, theres american cars that have turbos in the 70's theres euro cars that have had them during the same time.

  • @Pyrothos666 if you have time, then look at the later comments. either way, this case is about closed. we had some pretty good and bizarre conversations:)

  • @loveEncsi eh ive got nothing better to do so i might as well :P

  • @loveEncsi since tesla invented it in America?

  • @xxsublimexx5 he didn't invent a turbo, but a blade less turbine primarily intended to use with fluids. this talk was about *turbo* and not somthing similar. and teslas patent was a couple of years after Alfred Büchi and hes patent for the turbo. but as i said earlier, this case is about closed and it have been a good and in some cases bizarre talk:) if you have time, feel free to reed those comments further down

  • @loveEncsi Did ya forget about the Buick Grand National?

  • @HywMonster2JZ no no. though they were a couple of cast before it to. if you have time then you can look at the earlier comments

  • @loveEncsi since at least the late 70s-early 80s. One of the most popular cars of that era being the Turbo Trans Am, better known as the 1980 Indy 500 Pace Car. And another very well known model was the Buick Grand National and GNX, which were among the quickest sports cars of their time, and for several years afterwards.

  • @Metallifreak91 been there done that, already had that conversation:) and those cars are a bit from the older ones. but if you have time, feel free to read the later comments:)

  • @loveEncsi this is compound boost. the car came stock with a 500hp twin screw supercharged 5.4l v8, then he added twin turbos ontop of that. the supercharger gives it grunt from down low, and the turbos kick in at rpm

  • @loveEncsi it isnt but americans made them what they are today

  • Nice car, but launch control-not so much

  • Your hearing the anti-lag work. Allows the charger to build boost from the dig...lag is our enemy, the anti lag enables the Turbo to spool up at launch. Car had some wheel hop at launch. Put some drag radials on that beast!

  • worst thing to do in ford gt Oo get going with pedal to the metal

clutch is dying so quick on these guys

  • Not a proper launch... but certainly an impressive one!

  • i want this carrrr

  • and I done mean the came lobe

  • What's making it have that "rattle" sound? Is something wrong with it?

  • @ladygodia that would be the launch control or traction control or something trying to keep the car straight

  • @beerocked I'm not talking about that, you can hear the sound before the tires spin.

  • yeah it is not a gt40, look at those wheel covers, but anyway great sound 5*

  • @colorfulbmx LOL, yeah, they used 40 year old technology in the NEW Ford GT. How can you honestly even post that they're the same. The outside body-work has very SIMILAR styling. That's where the similarities end so you can STFU.

  • @colorfulbmx

No, none of those parts are "updated", they are completely different. It is not "almoast all the same", they are two completely (yes, completely) different vehicles. Do some research on the original Ford GT40, then come back here with some facts.

The two vehicles have nothing in common (as it was meant to be; one is a pure-bread race car, the other a street-legal supercar) besides the manufacturer and the body style. Toss your baseless assumptions aside and see for yourself.

  • @colorfulbmx

The engine, the chassis, the suspension, the transmission, the supercharger (although that counts as part of the engine), the body (the style is the same, the details are completely different), the vehicle's height (which is how the GT40 got its name), and the countries in which most of its parts are made. Should I delve a little further into the lesser aspects of the GT? The steering column, the headlights/taillights, the wheels, the interior, the exhaust, etc.

    Your turn.

  • Comment removed

  • @colorfulbmx

No it is not. They are both completely different cars. There are no similarities between the two besides their manufacturer and their body style.

You can try to prove me wrong if you'd like.

And thanks for the confirmation; you do not deserve to be around anything with 4 wheels and an engine.

  • Ford GT in beast mode

  • @colorfulbmx

If you really think that the Ford GT and the GT40 are the "same thing", then you do not deserve to be around anything with 4 wheels and an engine.

  • Haha, I work at that business park...wish I was there to see this in person!

  • lol it sounds like an RC car

  • Gotta love that turbo chatter !

  • axle tramp nearly knocked the plate off its asss

  • doesn't launch control rape ur engine??!!

  • @TheLaurens1988 No. not really. That violent popping is just caused by the LC as it interupts the ignition sparks and causes unburned fuel to enter the exhaust headers. The engine is perfectly fine.

But just for a side-note, it can damage a turbo if done for too long.

  • that's damn sexy gt!

  • what a dingbat! ford gt with some fancy tuning!
