I own nba 2k12 and whenver i go into 'my player' mode, the music to the game stops and it takes at least 10 mins to load every single time. The last few days ive given up after 45 minutes. Im assuming its the file because my other games work and the disc is clean and unscathed. Is there a way to fix the file? Is that what the file option is? Im afraid of doing anything cuz i dint want it to delete the file. Ive been working on it for about 100 hours. I dont want to lose that
Hey, I was playing call of duty world at war and it froze, the controller would not work and if I ejected the game, the ps3 would not go back to the xmb screen. I then turned it off, and when I turned it back on it said my data would be corrupted. It checked my files and my waw trophies were gone. If I put the disc back in to play, it freezes like before and I have to go through the same file checking thing. I deleted the data to see if that would solve the problem and that didn't work!

its the same as the fat ps3, all yu have to do is-
put the ps3 in standby mode( red light) hold the power button firmly until it turns off again. Then do the same once again except you will hear one beep and then a few seconds later you will hear two beeps in a row. Once you hear those two beeps in a row, take your finger off the power button and then it should come with to connect your controller with a USB cable. Then it will come up with 6 options. Choose carefully and read before.
My PS3 gets stuck in the file recovery loop and I did the menu for rebuild database then it says can not access Hard Drive so it can not rebuild the database...

I tried playing Der Riese but I somehow didn't have it. I went to my downlaod history and it wasnt on there either. I have over 25 DL games on my PS3 hard drive. I bought the system used, so I didn't know the original password. I restored the default settings from the XMB interface and now it won't get past the "Press the PS button" screen with all the different languages. My USB seems to be connected properly and the controller flashes, but nothing happens when I push the PS button. Do I need a certain type of USB cord (mine is a cheap third party one)? Also, will I lose all the games I have downloaded?
This video helped me! The only thing was that I had to restore the entire PS3 system and lost all data that I had on it. Not a big deal for me cause I really didnt have anything there. @irule1273 Actually it did not erase the stuff I had saved for my games. I only play Call of Duty but when I logged back into my account everything was there just like before. I was able to play with my current ranking and it had all my saved and customized weapons.

Well the PS3 is working for me now. I had no choice but to choose number 5. It was a risky cost, But at least I'm still able to play games again and collect trophies. I was trying to install the update for games and it downloads fine, but when it reaches the install please wait, i dont get the progress bar at the bottom and it eventually gives me an error code, or freezes. I have been getting at least 3 to 4 times not a message on start up saying the harddisc is currupted and has to restore, i restore it but it still happens.

I had all the map packs for WaW but after the PSN outage thing, map pack 2 and 3 got deleted. before this happened, I put all my saved files onto my USB. I tried playing Der Riese but I somehow didn't have it. I went to my downlaod history and it wasnt on there either. I put my usb in my laptop and found files on but like wtf? i paid $31 altogether for this. wtf is the problem?

What I did was turn my ps3 off by the menu button, turn it back on (holding the on button until I heard 3 beeps) then I repeated it, a menu came up asking me to reset my data... It's loading up but it's stayed on 15% for hours! Any help would be appreciated.

my ps3 when i boot it up, the fan stops turning it sound like, and also the video doesnt come up. Sometimes the sound comes up though. When i try to turn it off after a failed attempt at fixing it, i have to use the switch on the back. When i try to turn it off using the power sensor button in the front, it makes 3 beeps. I dont know why. The "Restart PS3" button i still have to do that. What button should i press?

i hold the power button and it didnt turn off at all. ive tried different way and hold more than 1 minute, still it didnt turn off.
Usually if my game freeze, holding the power switch didnt work either, i have to switch off the power switch on the back of the console.
PLS help, did my ps3 broke or i messing up something. But i can still power on the ps3 though. Or is there anyway u can enter recovery mode without the hold power button ritual?

I have over 25 DL games on my PS3 hard drive. I bought the system used, so I didn't know the original password. I restored the default settings from the XMB interface and now it won't get past the "Press the PS button" screen with all the different languages. My USB seems to be connected properly and the controller flashes, but nothing happens when I push the PS button. Do I need a certain type of USB cord (mine is a cheap third party one)? Also, will I lose all the games I have downloaded?

This video helped me! The only thing was that I had to restore the entire PS3 system and lost all data that I had on it. Not a big deal for me cause I really didnt have anything there. Then once I logged back into the PS3 Store I was able to recover all purchases that I had made regarding games. Thanks Janglez311!!!!

@irule1273 Actually it did not erase the stuff I had saved for my games. I only play Call of Duty but when I logged back into my account everything was there just like before. I was able to play with my current ranking and it had all my saved and customized weapons.

Well the PS3 is working for me now. I had no choice but to choose number 5. It was a risky cost, But at least I'm still able to play games again and collect trophies. I'm stocking up my trophies again as we speak. It may take some time, but I know I can get to where I was at again. I'm not getting internet until I'm caught up with my trophies.
