I had no idea you were so heavy! You seem as if you were always a slender person. How great for you and your health that you were able to get out from under that burden. I maybe need to lose 20 lbs, which is not as much of an accomplishment, but the mechanics are the same - I eat for reasons other than hunger, and it hurts my health and symbolizes ugly excess and lack of control. I try now to get extra exercise and do lots of yoga.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Your not the first that has mentioned that they didn't realize I was that heavy. Even those that are close to me didn't realize I was over 230 lbs at one time. Your right, God has given us a free will. In so doing that, I have given Him my will. To say we can choose to eat what we want, your right. But when your addicted to food (booze, sex, drugs, etc.) we KEEP on choosing EVEN though we know it is literally killing us. That is where the Higher Power comes in and we rest in His saving power. I've been a subscriber for quite a while.....I love the yard sale vids! However, I just noticed you're "before" videos where you show pictures of yourself at 230 lbs. I can't get over what a difference in you! I am a slave to food....I've gained 100lbs since I quit smoking. I went from one addition to another. I feel horrible! Any suggestions for me??? Guidance? It would be very welcomed! I'm ready for a change.

@alexbric I think you misunderstand the point. god helps us to be strong enough to make the better choices for our lives. No, he does not count our calories or tell us not to have that second helping, but he is there for us to help us to be strong when we are struggling. That is the point.

I too, was once overweight.

In a dream, I was fighting with a fat lady and her friends...I somehow convinced her friends to come to my side and allow me to fight the fat lady without their interference....

She was like jelly, like mush in my hands and had no bones...She was defeated! We can do all things thru Christ Jesus! He who the Son sets free is free indeed!

Your testimony is anointed by the Holy Spirit, many captives will be set free. Praise Jesus!

Thanks for this. I can really feel the Holy Spirit speaking through you. I have only recently gained weight, but i'm not sure if it's a result of my depression or my anti-depressants. I bought a bike a week ago, so I'm trying to get back into a resonaly level of fitness.

I gained 30 lbs when I was on my medication. PLUS broke out in TONS of pimples..I told the dr. I went on meds to help me with depression,,now I'm fat and have zits,,LOL..and more depressed.lol.

Sheree, February 25/07 I began the journey of being released from this weight. It will be 2 years this year..slowing but surely I have been released from the weight, and continue being released. 25 more pounds to go to reach the goal and after that, I may still lose some more. I am VERY tiny boned, so I may need to lose more...I still can't believe I was able to walk with all that weight.
