In response to your comment in video as to how they sunk the sub when the ship was sinking, a carrier never travels alone, but as part of a fleet. It is usually the lightest armed, in terms of its shooting capabilities, and needs either its fighters or its attending vessels to defend it. Most likely the enemy sub was sunk by either an accompanying destroyer, or an anti-sub system on another ship.

When i was playing, i cried in this scene, and saluted the sinking of the Kestrel.

While the game was good.. the Kestrel was based of the Nimitz Class. The class could absorb much more damage than just two (I think I read somewhere they were based on the Russian P-120 Malakhit). They say there was a starboard side flood. That's what watertight doors are for. If the old ass Saratoga CV-3 could withstand kamikaze attacks and two atomic blasts (at close range) without sinking, two Russian missiles wouldn't sink a Nimitz. I would have expected more damage to the ship in AC5.

Note on the submarine: The Kestrel wasn't alone in the seas. Destroyers could have easily sunken the submarine. They had a couple escort destroyers even if you couldn't save any of the defecting ships in the last mission.

That's always what I thought anyways.

I was kind of disappointed that you didn't include the part where the crew disregards the potential damage to the catapults, and says to tho Razgriz that they'll launch any plane into the air since the ship is sinking. IIRC there are two versions of it. Could you upload those parts please? I think those are the best.

In the beginning of Sea of Chaos, you see 4 Destroyers close to the Kestrel. Perhaps too close.

Also in Wargames, Subs of nations that couldn't afford carriers has sunk the carriers in Wargames/Mock Exercises. I forgot the exact name of the exercises.

I assume due to to the event "Sea of Chaos" the fleet was in shambles and couldnt set up a good Anti submarine screen.

Maybe thats what happened.

There are other ships in the fleet. Why do you think the mission before this one "Sea of Chaos" is about other ships defecting to the fleet?

Or the Kestrel could have launched an Anti Sub Helicopter (such as a Sea King) to destroy  the enemy helicopter.

On the other hand, why arent the other ships of the fleet rushing to assist the Kestrel? Why didn't they catch the Enemy submarine. I refuse to believe the Kestrel sailed without escorts.
