Yes, I have been given the talk when I was in fifth grade. Believe me, it was awkward and at the same time, very informing and formal. My mother not only gave me the talk, she also used particular vocabulary, pointed to a few of encyclopedias if I needed any more clarity and asked if I needed the speech repeated. Okay, so I NEVER got the talk. About ANYTHING. And that is what was awkward. I was ill that one single day in fourth grade where we learned about puberty and female... womanly beginnings. Therefore, when my shark week started I thought I was dying.
