Could you show me how to add an effect to follow a particular soccer player, either by putting a "halo" above his head or "highlighting" him somehow and also how do I make the "halo" or whatever effect is used to follow him?
my footage is never clean, there is always unsmooth pixels right by the person, my lighting is fine... it makes me want to upgrade to more expensive programs
OMG!! I almost gave up on this software! I couldn't figure it out to save my life!! :-/ Thank you so so so much for posting this! This was a HUGE help! :-)
Somebody help please. I want to put mine and my friends faces on these dancers but i can only seem to get 2 faces on the video. By that i mean two pictures. So.. can somebody tell me how to add more if you can?
I bought 6 lime green poster boards. i haven't tried it yet, but I will use it during my next music video. i heard it works very good. i always wanted to use a green screen.
is there any way to make a green screeen background but make the person dark and not all bright and shiny; more gritty and shadowy like in a real film
Wow thank you so much! That was very helpful. Though, I have a question. I need to buy a green screen, but I have heard that you can buy green cloth or green paper. Would the green have to be an exact color? Please help. Thank you.
You can use paper or a piece of cloth. A bright green seems to work best. I have not found an exact color that works best though. you can also by a green screen for about $40 online.
So is is the same when you want a video replacing the green backdrop? and could you make a tutorial for the chroma key part? Like when you said you can change the windows to something else
Really you can use all kinds of colors but the classic lime green you wont rely wear on you. If you are wearing alot of green the other common color is blue.
when your done editing the video and u click share, wats the best format for the highest quality playback on youtube, is it dv avi, or like mpeg, or something else?
not really, its just green is good because it stands out (if you got bright green) and also its like the furthest color away from clothes and skin color. also a good color to use is blue (the weather forecast is done with a blue screen) but make sure you are wearing something thats not blue!
thank u sooooooooooo much! i'm definitely subscribing to you! my dad is going to get me some fabric to make a green screen and i have Adobe 7 for editing, so im really thankful for this video. it was the only one i could find and i was worrying about not being able to do the green screen thing! you cant believe how grateful i am for this! thank you so very very much!
Hi Mike,... I have a problem editing on my Adobe premiere element 7 whenever i edit AVCHD video; It's "skippy" and lags. But if i edit AVI videos, its smooth and no problem. Do I need a HD Video card to fix it? Thanks

i have a 8.1 digital camera anda hd camcorder but when i transfer it to adobe premier 7 it messes the quality up. it looks very bad. does anyone know how to fix this.
to cerve414: I had this problem to, and found it to be a hardware issue. You may not have enough processing power required to smoothly play HD clips. I discovered I needed a Duo Core Processor to make my HD clips play.
thanks. i have the intel core 2 duo processor e4300. yes it looked like i shot my video with a shity ass camcorder. but it also showed like green spots here and there like if a green screen would pop up. maybe my graphics card need to be upgraded. i have the intel graphics media accelerator 950.
what cheap camcorder can i buy to be able to green screen, the one i have at the minute doesnt let me seperate scenes or edit them. im looking but i cant find one, i am not very experience any help will be apprieciated
The separation takes place in the software once you load the video into the program. Any digital camera will work as long as you can import the video into your computer.
i use final cut pro at school but have pc at home and was wondering is this editing software as good as final cut and is it similar to use because id like to buy it.
I have a question: Say I want to take a video clip with a TV in it, and make it look like the TV is showing something else. How would I go about doing that?
Take the image you want to use. Place it into a image editor like Adobe photo shop and replace the screen with a solid color like green or blue. also there are images out there on the web you can get that have this already done to them and you can use one of those.
thank you mike for this education, i always wanted to learn how to put in the green screen. this is an eduacation even a preschool can learn thanks again.
You go to Effects and then you type into search "crop". Then place it on the clip you are green screening. Once that is done you click on "show properties" which is right next to the "time strech" tool. Then you can adjust it to how you like.
Adobe premier is great to work with. Now I just need to buy some of those lights.

It depends on what software some will let you and some will not.

Yes, but a SPECIAL blue. Actually, green and blue are your two choices, but not every green and not every blue.
