@Kachureo62 Sobretodo por su voz engolada y su artificioso oscurecimiento del timbre. Ejemplos de lo que no debe ser una saneada técnica vocal. Aparte han habido mejores Werther que Kaufmann, para mi Gedda y Kraus son superiores interpretativamente porqué para comenzar están alejados de la emisión verista que dan estos tenores actuales,

I think he was rushing the aria and cutting some words, maybe he was unconfortable in some way. Anyway, Mr Krauss was a great tenor, maybe the greatest.

He was quite old which may answer both questions. He tried to expand he repertoire and succeeded greatly. Certainly not a huge repertoire, but certainly a huge, huge talent. Fine, fine muscianship.
