I used to work at a Renaissance Festival and when the Jousting ring wasn't being used during our Scottish weekend they would have people doing this. I even saw a woman do it once. She wasn't a bodybuilder or anything, actually quite tiny, and still managed to get it pretty far. I was thoroughly impressed.
