Anole is pronounced like ah-know-lee. You should learn how to pronounce their name right before giving a video on how to care for them. ;)

I caught a brown anole in FL on vacation and brought her home with me. She was fine at first, but now she refuses to eat and has gotten sooo skinny and weak. It's only been like this for a month and I got her in March. I'm going to FL in a week and I'm going to let her go (:

what size tank do you recomend for 1 anole? we are going to get a tank today because i won an anole at a carnival and we are keeping him in the fish bowl with branches and rocks at the bottom and a lamp over him and he eats mealworms and oats. we have like a cool whip lid with holes in it covering the top of the bowl and its small for him and i want to get a tank

Yeah, green anoles are EVERYWHERE in the south... as a matter of fact, I discovered earlier I ran over one with the lawn mower... but we see them at least two or three times a day... We had a regular we called Lizzy..

Very helpful! I got a tropical lizard tank kit from pet co... its ok... but it lacks a uvb sun lamp... that i didn't know they needed till now... and the calcium with the crickets..... great idea... you have good info... much better then what I was told at pet co... you must be doing good cus they look way better then mine! I will be making changes first thing in the morning!!! THANK YOU! (you probably saved my pets life lol)

a green anole and brown anole cannot produce babies

@gecko091 do you mean the species "brown anole (Anolis sagrei)" and the "green anole (Anolis carolinenis)" can't reproduce, or do you mean that the different "colored" (used for camoflouge, and they may wish to change color if the please) can't reproduce? Different "colored" anoles can breed, as long as they're of the same species. Also, SlurpeePerson, dewlaps aren't a accurate sexing method, neither is checking for a white "zipper" along the lizard's back.

@lockdown494 but the crickest from the store just eat sum artificial food that dose not have that many vitamins thats why they provide you whith calcium but you dont have to buy it. just keep the crickets in a contaner and put some fruits and vegis for they can eat it and get the nutriants from the food then give them to you reptiles

i live in georgia the anoles are all around my house plus coyotes and cows (i have a pasture) but i prefer buying them at the pet store because they are more docile because they are around more people at my house they bite and are aggresive
