  • God I miss the good old days of the BN, wish the BN and the ATSF are still two separate railroad companies today!

  • can you show the whole video please

  • this is sick, i wanna drive a bnsf through stampede pass so bad

  • So for a decade this line was abandoned?

  • Isn't Stamped Pass acctualy Snoqualme Pass?

  • Stampede Pass, is a mountain pass through the Cascade Range just south of Snoqualmie Pass in Washington. (to quote Wikipedia)

  • Oh ok, I always though Snoqualmie was Native American for stampede.

    It kinda sound like it.

  • Stampede Pass was the NP's crossing of the Cascades, Snoqualme Pass is a bit farther to the north, and it was MILW's crossing of the Cascades.

  • That's very intresting, I never knew Milwaukee Road operated in the Pacific Northwest.

For some reason I can't find Stampede Pass on a map but I can find Snoqualmie Pass.

That's why I asumed Snoqualmie was Native American for Stampede.

    Thanks for the info.

  • @ThomasRivette I fly through Stampede Pass on occasion. Approaching from the west, you go into the pass a few miles north of Enumclaw. Stampede Pass ends in Snoqualmie Pass near Easton. When flying West to East, you turn right when you come out of Stampede in Snoqualmie. When approaching from the East, you turn left just past Easton State Airport and come out over the plain near Enumclaw then continue on toward your destination in Western Washington.
