BAVARIA IS PART OF GERMANY! I say that as a german from Saxony. Every nonbavarian german hates them? They also hate us saxonies. Since we germans are not supposed to be proud of being german we have to be proud of our region especially since we actually spent most of the time in history divided. For example yes, most germans do love beer or there wouldn't be 5000! different kind of beers. I also don't like to be judged by them, but remember our cultural variety within germany makes us special!
oh dear... i am german and before the vid started i was like please let her be some student of english that is doing one of those exchange programmes in the us or something and then she turnes out to have one of the most horrible german accents i have ever heard hope she didnt paint us in a too terrible light plus i wanted to go to his show someday and be the german lady that went all the way from germany to see the show!!!! :(
@roseatvirginia no she's really cute. and her accent is awesome. what you don't want is a really stiff and serious man with a crew cut - then the nazi soldier jokes won't stop.
@alfichen1234 do your homework before posting these things. bavaria is most certainly a part of germany. and by the by just in cause you're one of them too: switzerland is actually not the cheese and clocks making part of germany, its a country for itself. just figured i add that real quick. have a good one.
@alfichen1234 You're supposed to be 28, and yor comment is the dumbest comment I ever had the misfortune to read on youtube. I'm actually quite sure that Bavaria is at least as popular in Germany as e.g. McPomm or Saxonia. So keep it to yourself, the next time you wanna say something about what "every German" thinks.
Whatever, I love Craigs show and I'm quite sure he (secretly) loves Germany (and I mean the whole of it, including Bavaria and former GDR). He keeps talking about it a LOT.
of course its part of germany.. but a lot of germans and even a lot of bavarians themselves rather have their own country of bavaria... they are very seperated in germany... culturally...
@highfive96: It’s commonplace to say Bavaria isn’t part of Germany. Two reasons for that: Bavaria is a German “Freistaat”, meaning it’s one of the three free states (the others being Saxony and Thuringia). The other—less known—reason is that Bavaria was the only German state that voted against the Grundgesetz (Basic Law, the German constitution) in 1949.
Bavarians have a great sense of proud of their identity, that’s all. Just like the people in the Ruhr Area, for example.
@highfive96 Kind of like Texas isn't really part of the US? ;-) Texas and Bavaria are kind of similar when you think of it... including them wanting to be their own country from time to time.
I'm hilarious and I find this German.

Bavaria in germany is like texas in the U.S. Completely different to the rest of the country...but we all love them :)

1) How insecure can you be, caring about what some random people might think about you based on another random person's accent. lol
2) When you're dissing someone else's English, using zero punctuation doesn't exactly help to inspire awe in your own grasp of the language. ;-)
