hey man great video, hated the voice at first, but i kinda started to like it 5 minutes in, something different haha, anyways one small suggestion, when pilots are landing manually on these kind of planes, they usually have the autothrottle on until about 50 feet above the runway, just pointing that out, reduces stress and stuff to do on final. nice video, cheers :)
I am paused at 0:45 seconds. and so far THE VOICE IS FRIGGEN AWESOME. now also im not to sure if this is a real good source of information but only one way to find out. time to play this bastard and see if its good. cause so far it is. Ps. Thumbs this up so i can brag to my friends about this being the top rated comment.
@segagamer20611 Keep practicing, don't give up. Try to be a little more smooth with the controls, make sure your settings are to your liking, take the realism down to 10% if you want to practice with a lot of give to crashes, or set them off if you don't want to ever crash.
@MegaTron2700 LOL! How else am I going to convey "This is your..." I tried to mix it up with "and THATS your" and "This is THE", but c'mon, you counted? you serious?
@MyStarTerrapins Thanks. Remember this is a "How to pass the FSX ATP Checkride tutorial", not a lesson in actual real world flying, although the practices are somewhat similar.
I am new to this.. I bought the FLIGHT SIMULATOR PRO 2010 and the Logitech Attack3 Will this work and is this the same FLIGHT SIMULATOR PRO 2010 that you are giving instructions on Thank You... you can also email me at drc4521@triad.rr.com Need all the help I can get I am 53 years old and never tryed any kind of game like this. But now I am home all day wanted to try something new, Thanks again
@fsxplaya91 Yeah like I said Ive never heard of it either, but after looking it up real quick what he is talking about isnt from microsoft anyway. "Flight Simulator pro 2010" is what he called it if anyone knows anything more plz share. Thanks!! p.s. fsxplaya this guide is superb, great info and skill!!
@fsxplaya91 there is a new one that is still in development called "FS FLIGHT". Its aimed at both pro simmers and newbie gamer simmers. I have a feeling the later will have a stronger following unfortunately.
@superskullmaster Hey, Ya!, it looks promising. I am happy microsoft hasnt thrown the entire FS franchise in the garbage, I also hope this game will be more completed, detailed and error/issue free, with full HD graphics but without any performance issues. I also hope they will heed some of my suggestions to make the game even more lifelike, simple things that should be added without the need for third party software!
@cdad2005 You cant "download" it, its part of the game Microsoft Flight Simulator. If you have the game you can access it by clicking on the Learning Center link on the left menu, then the "Lessons" tab, then select the last lesson "ATP Checkride".
hey how do u fly fast at high altitudes cause when i take a 737 up to 30000ft it can just make 200knots and i see ai planes hitting 500knots if u can tell me what im probably doing wrong i could appreciate it thnxs
@philrulz9876543210 Hey, It depends what airplane you are using. I dont know about 500KTS! but if you want to reach 300-320KTS at that altitude using the 737-800 you would need to lower your vertical rate as your speed starts to fall.
Set your power to 95% N1 for takeoff, climb to 2000FT at about 3500FPM (feet per minute) then set your N1 power to 90% and climb till your speed starts to fall, then keep decreasing your FPM till you reach about 1500FPM, then just level off at 30,000 and allow the speed to reach 300-320KTS.
@philrulz9876543210 just coz it says 200 knots ias, doesn't mean your actual ground speed is 200 knots. I could be wrong but I think AI speed is in ground speed. Either way, 200 knots at 30,000 feet is a lot faster than 200 knots at 3,000 feet.
@OriginalAtomicSheep There's an option in simulation "realism" settings that allows you to choose "indicated airspeed" OR "true airspeed", I use indicated.
However for your ground speed you can check the NAV Panel (on 737-800) you'll see on the upper left hand corner it says GS and a number, thats your "actual" ground speed.
And yes, the more altitude you gain, the more your ground speed increases in contrast to your indicated airspeed!
@fsxplaya91 Altitude is irrelevant to ground speed. Indicated Airspeed will decrease with altitude (2% per 1000'). Factor in the 2%/1000' and you get True Airspeed. Ground speed is True Airspeed corrected for wind.
@denhou1974 Apparently you are wrong, check it. The Higher your altitude, the faster you're ground speed is in comparison to that same Air Speed at a lower altitude.
For Example:
At altitude X Your Airspeed is 200, your Ground speed 200.
At Altitude Y Your Airspeed is 200, your Ground speed 230.
In any case, whether it’s the wind, or the fact that your "literal" ground speed is faster, it makes no difference, your groundspeed is faster.
@fsxplaya91 I'm not talking about your aircrafts speed... im talking about the ai config file that has all the flight plans for your ai. As I said, I'm pretty sure the speed the ai aircaft are programmed in is gas not ias
@OriginalAtomicSheep It depends on your settings I guess. In any case you want your Indicated Ground speed to be what your focused on when making certain calculations regarding decent.
What's with the voice modifier? You like Usama bin ladens right hand man?
I also like your lesson on the aerodynamics on a 747 ,
Thanks,
