  • Solo's missin' man..

  • Nikon D3100 mic ?

  • @rrgert4 yup

  • @Eoon wow, when i record with my D3100 i always have to record the audio separetly with my headset mic lol, especially if im recording my amp, it sounds so horrible if not

  • @rrgert4 I guess it's just a matter of trying to place the camera in different places to see which position gives you the most balanced and natural sound. And probably if you set your amp too loud, the mic will eventually clip so keep that in mind too :)

  • @Eoon yeah, it does, thanks mate.. great playing btw ;)

  • Great tone and beautiful playing my friend!

I love my AC15C1 too... I believe it's the best amp I've ever had. With strats and tele's it sings and chimes like there's no tomorrow!!!

  • @ec101dm It indeed does :) What do you think about the overdriven tones? I'm starting to think that they're quite harsh. I've heard that changing the tubes is a simple solution to that "problem".

  • @Eoon The overdriven tones are indeed not as musical as I'd like them to be. Swapping tubes could be the solution, but I don't have firsthand experience with that yet, as I get my overdriven tones with pedals.

  • @Eoon I think turning the tone cut up a good bit helps that, i had that problem when i used a fuzz face but get a really nice sound now with the tone cut turned up. :)

  • @Eoon Yeah, guys, the AC15 has some sweet single coil tones if you don't need "loud". But for overdrive, you are barking up the wrong tree with the wrong dog. Need to got my Gibson LP w/burstbuckers along with a good high gain amp. Since I got my LP, I don't even power up my AC15. I have a Sunn 50 with a super over-drive preamp channel. Tones of the 70s-80s. No sound like it! Hit a note, go to lunch, take a nap, come back, and its still holding that note! Tone's cool but sustain is awesome!

  • @rittjc oh, and BTW, my AC15 did nothing at all for my LP. Its a British amp for the British blues tone we at one time mistakenly called rock. Cool sound of the 60's but pushed out of the way to make room for the massive 70s-80s of rock's heyday. Try it guys, you will know exactly what I mean!

  • @rittjc Hey bud, congtats on your gear! Id say it depends on what AC15 you have though :) Single coils make just about any Vox sing (so I TOTALLY agree with you) but I crank my AC15C1 with my 2007 Gibson SG Standard all day. Thats what I call TONE! The SG is a bit harsher than the Les Paul, ofcourse, but the Solid state rectifier helps with pushing a Vox to hard distortion levels when using humbuckers. Great Sunn amp by the way!

  • Great song, love the sound of the amp, I'm looking into getting one myself. Beautiful playing! God bless!

  • @austinisadragon0318 Thank you!

  • so beautiful!! vox amps are the best!

  • Thanks for reply, Eoon. Understood.

I got mine after first getting the wrong amp! I got a Bugera 22W all valve 2 channel because I felt I couldn't afford the Vox, whose sound was more musical. When the Bugera broke down 2 months later, I took it back to the shop and decided to spend the extra money and get the Vox. Bliss!

Regarding overdrives, I read today of using 2 in series. One set to gain-high/vol-med, the other set gain-low/vol-high for 4 X the control options while playing. Cheers!

  • @MrSnotblock You know, I actually had the Bugera V22 too. It was soooooo bad! You can see it in three of my videos, and only in one it sounds decent. I sould mine after 5 months of playing and then got this vox :)

  • Nice clean playing, but if you don't want to show yourself, why not a view on top of the amp showing the settings you are using?

I've got this amp too and they are really really good but very powerful! I use an Ibanez Tube Screamer to get more distortion at lower volume.

  • @MrSnotblock Hey, first of all, thank you for the comment. When I set up my camera, I didn't think of the angle in the terms of what it shows. It was all about capturing the sound as good as possible ;) If you want to see me playing, there are other videos where you can do that. Furthermore, I wouldn't even be able to set up a top-down shot of the settings as I have no tripod...

The amp itself is truely a beast. I boost my with a Bad Monkey which is basically a TS copy.

    Rock on!

  • is this the D3100 mic aswell ? i didnt get my to sound that good :D also hate the fact that the mic is on the lens motor :( picks up all the focus sound if you use auto focus :/

  • @hjalmarBuoi Yeah, it's the built-in mic. I have never experienced any focus-noise because I only use this camera to film my playing = fixed focus. I bet that the noise occurs when you film some dynamic scenes.

  • @Eoon yeah, no i dont use auto focus either anymore cause of the autofocus noise, i use manual focus only, and 720p for the 30fps (and smaller file size :P)

  • how much did u pay for the guitar?

  • Stock tubes ?

  • are those the stock pickups?! If they are, they sound pretty damn good if you ask me

  • @meljonlove Those are Fender Tex-Mex. Pretty nice pups if you ask me.

  • Great tone and feel!

  • all fenders are good guitars ! xd

  • @confusicusx My Squier is not extacly a Fender, but you're right - it's sweet :)

  • Great sound man.

  • Nice tone you got going.

  • very nice dude love that single coil sound <3

BTW: nice amp it's sound very mellow and warm
