I was actually there on this very night! B&B showing up was a big surprise. I remeber the audiance continuing the singing efter the end of the song. It was a great night in what feels like a different age. Those years after the cold war were optimistic in so many ways. We had the feeling that the world was coming together finally. But of course that feeling couldn't last for ever. George W Bush and Usama were waiting around the corner.
