apparently, the people who "disliked" your video are either queers that want you or jealous wanna be trainers....I've been to 3 trainers and you were my 3rd, and I can't imagine anyone more serious about training, thanks Eugene, James. Btw, I've kept up with your program after your 18 sessions and I feel like a damn pimp...lmao
Decent little workout, good cardio and reactive training liked the core training for sure. Little more resistance in the routines will improve your speed and power. wrist weights, ankle weights, light dumbells etc. Jump rope definitely better for knee joint longevity.
When you throw your round house kicks at the end, try to keep your right hand protecting the right side of your face with your bicep and elbow protecting your rib cage. It will also be easier to maintain balance if you snap your leg away from the bag by bending at the knee first rather than by pulling it back straight. Other than that, nice pivot on your plant leg and good power.
good body abilities .. go and train with group .. boxing, thaiboxing bjj etc .. whatever you can rich You will learn how to throw good punches and kick - yours now are good for selflearning but you can more Good luck dude !!!
@trufkin1000 if you do jump rope right like how you were then yes it is but if you do it wrong which alot of ppl do then yeah it'll kill your knees but the same can be said for running lol
@J0hnFreeman Rope makes you feel like a feather, you can dodge bullets easier. Running is more for endurance like holding on for much longer in the ring, makes you stabile!
not really keen on this ab routine. i just bust out the p90x ab routine its killer and very effective u should check it out its got some good excecises even if u just take a few of them out of it
This guy is creative! Jump roping has ruined my shins, don't know why. I think this guy's bag is too low or maybe he was training to fight someone short like me. The speed push-ups are great but better with a weighted medicine ball instead of cinder block. Not knocking him though, this proves everyone who doesn't train or exercise cause they don't have the equipment or gym membership are just lazy. Get creative like this guy.
I think that's the most practical and useful conditioning advice video I've seen on youtube. All acheivable and no scrapyard or home gym only stuff. Thanks very much, looking forward to trying out.
I don't land on my heels so it's okay. It's only when you land on your heels that damage occures to the knees, hips, and ankles. Plus, you will not find a patch of grass anywhere in Irvine that is larger than 4x4.
i would have to say it was a combination of factors which caused me to change things up a little. I did injure my knee, but it was from other related activities. The new videos on conditioning will be way, way more advanced than this. Give me 2-3 months. School is keeping me really, really busy lately.
I like to check these videos for new conditioning ideas.
the one where you were laying on your chest throwing your legs out was NICE. havent seen that one for some reason. the other stuff was run of the mill but good none the less

If you're up for some constructive criticism...

Whats difference between running and jumprope? any difference or is jump rope for speed, and running for endurance/cardio?
J0hnFreeman 2 years ago
Personally, i think jump rope is a lot easier on the knees. However, some people would say otherwise.

when i first began to jump rope my shins also really hurt. Better shoes and habituation made it go away. And ya, that bag is too low.
i will have better videos posted soon. check back in a month.
trufkin1000 3 years ago
Is there a specific type of shoe you recommend or is it just based on your foot type?

I like this workout. It doesn't require much of a gym. I'm going to do this routine.
LittleValo 3 years ago
I wouldn't spend 15 minutes jumping rope on a cement floor. Rubber mats are fairly cheap- horse stable mats from a feed store work well.

i land on my toes, and even after only 10 mins of jump rope, my knees will feel discomfort a day later. sucks for me i guess.
great workout bro.. good form too.
