Right now I use a vintage Microsoft force feedback Sidewinder Pro that feels just right - sometimes I use the force feature with Dirk's FSForce 2 software- sometimes not.
It has throttle and twist grip for rudder. I plugged it into my new Win 7 64 rig and it loaded the driver automatically in the blink of an eye. MS occasionally gets it right!
Take your time to install all that stuff correctly. There's a preferred install order - look for detailson the flightsim forums or via Google.
Ok, I'll try to register again. I just purchased REX 2.0. Next I'll buy and d/l all that you listed. This is so exciting; I'm gonna install my new cpu cooler today. What flight stick / controller set up are you using?
sorry for the ignorance, but what´s overclocking?? and I couldn´t find the topic in the forum, maybe because i´m guest, and the topic is in the forum where you need to register, could you please atach the link?? thanks!!! and yes, those guys from ORBX make awesome scenerys!!!!!
Hey Eric, just Google 'overclocking' and you'll find squillions of explanations. Regarding Orbx's FSX best setup info you need to register on the Orbx forums, and why not? Loads of good info on there. Look for /forum/topic/9946-the-super-duper-ultimate-tweak-get-the-best-smoothness-and-performance-in-fsx/
I think 6GB RAM seems to be right. I have had the opportunity to try 12GB and could see no difference at all.
In FSX it's all about your processor, which ideally needs overclocking to around 4 Ghz. For the best setup I would suggest you look on the ORBX forums under hints and tips an excellent post from John Venema of ORBX which is called 'the ultimate FSX tweak' or something like that. Also check out the ORBX sceneries - they are superb.- FlyBoy441
Hey there flyboy, I tried to find the 'super-duper-ultimate-tweak' and just, for the life of me, cannot find it anywhere. I tried to join the ORBX site but didn't get the confirmation email. Do you have a copy of it by any chance, or...something?
Thanks for any help. I just built my first gaming rig; i7 2600k, MSI GTX 580 1.5, Ripjaw CL9 8gig. I have been running everything @ stock, but just bought an air cooler. Gonna install today and start playing with o/c'ing to 4ghz. Thx
One thing is missing.

Hi Jason
You will need to re-register with the ORBX forums - it should be easy, then use this link.

John Venema, the ORBX CEO keeps on updating it, so to get the latest info, best do it this way.
There's some great free stuff and often update all their sceneries. They have just added moving people to many of them...amazing.
