Its clearly 250 000 copies across asia.. diamond record award is 200 000 copies and up... MALIWANAG BA YON.. and regine got that award in less 2 years after its released. It is not necessary to tell the whole nation that nina live has reached over 300k copies kasi nga hanggang ngayon ay bumebenta pa rin kaya di nila maibigay ang exact numbers. For as long as an album reach more than 200k, pwede na parangalan ng diamond. Kaya nga sinabi "has sold more than 200,000 units" eh...ibig sabihin niyan is 200,001 to infinity....sana naman klaro to sayo

Wikepedia was featured in Jessica Soho show, anyone can easily change the contents of it.. it was said in the video that it sold more than 200 000 copies not 300 000 copies. Why they will not include the other other 100 000 copies- it would mean 15 times platinum.. Malinaw na 10 times platinum lang yun.. and besides we are talking about the number of units not the price per unit.. Piracy was also present in 1993 and it was clearly 250 000 copies sold across asia equivalent to 12 times platinum.

Nina live has sold 300,000+ units...check it in wikipedia...nina live dvd is not yet included there which has sold 30,000+ units and nina already recved that award...in the case listen w/o prejudice it was release way back in 1993 na hindi pa talamak ang pirated while in nina's time, it is difficult to get even a gold ward bcoz of piracy but still people prefer to have the orig cd of this album simply bcoz they like it...

I'm sorry to break the news, but Nina was not the first Filipina to have reached a "diamond award". Regine Velasquez has it for the record, yun nga lang Viva Records has never recognized it. It was the album "R2K".

R2k was awarded 7x platinum in 200000 kasaby ng regine live promo.. i saw that in sop... that was 280 thousand copies unlike nina live na 4 years to reached 200 000 sales... during those years e 40OOO per platinum po kaya di nakaabot ng 10x platinum.. See the sales... binaba nga kc ngayon 2009 ang required sales to only 200 taw unlike before na 400 taw para maka diamond...

ah sorry ganun ba kasi videos ni nina sabi 200k+. ung R2K ni regine 280K+ nung 2001 pa yun. and the album enjoyed good sales until 2003-2004. baka ngayon 400K na yun hahahaha hindi lang cinicertify ng viva mula ng umalis si regine sa kanila even if may parinig nun sa SOP na nag 12x platinum na ang album.

It is not necessary to tell the whole nation that nina live has reached over 300k copies kasi nga hanggang ngayon ay bumebenta pa rin kaya di nila maibigay ang exact numbers. For as long as an album reach more than 200k, pwede na parangalan ng diamond. That is true, you can edit an article in wikipedia because that is an open source but before you can alter something, there should be enough evidences/documents that would support your claim. Wikipedia is widely used across the globe as a source of information. Just last week, someone tried to alter the link "best selling album in the philippines". Someone tried to replace nina live and put jaya on the 4th spot but due to lack of concrete evidences it was removed by wikipedia.

If you really want the proof, why dont you go to music museum and check the multi platinum award across asia displayed. You will see that it was 250 000 copies sold. So para makita nyo na totoo yon..

Wikepedia was featured in Jessica Soho show, anyone can easily change the contents of it.. it was said in the video that it sold more than 200 000 copies not 300 000 copies. Why they will not include the other other 100 000 copies- it would mean 15 times platinum.. Malinaw na 10 times platinum lang yun.. and besides we are talking about the number of units not the price per unit.. Piracy was also present in 1993 and it was clearly 250 000 copies sold across asia equivalent to 12 times platinum.

Nina is the first female OPM artist to receive the Diamond Record Award. And that is certified by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry (PARI). ABS-CBN and Warner Music Philippines will be in BIG trouble if they just make this up, and might even result to legal cases. If you compare the previous Diamond Record albums w/ Nina Live, this is a feat for Nina, considering that Nina Live was released in a time when piracy has gone rampant. So, there's no doubt about this award.

I have to disagree with you, im sorry but thanks for the info anyway. Nina live has sold 300,000+ units...check it in wikipedia...nina live dvd is not yet included there which has sold 30,000+ units and nina already recved that award...in the case listen w/o prejudice it was release way back in 1993 na hindi pa talamak ang pirated while in nina's time, it is difficult to get even a gold ward bcoz of piracy but still people prefer to have the orig cd of this album simply bcoz they like it...

all album certifications are documented by PARI and kung imbento lang ang pagbigay kay Nina ng diamond award eh pwede na rin nating masabi na imbento lang din ang pagbigay ng multiplatinum award dun sa ibang artist kasi certified din yun ng PARI...the truth is, c nina lang talaga una nakarecve ng diamond award...in fairness regine has sold more than 5 million copies around the globe pero ang pinag-usapan dito ay kung ano yung album na pinakamabenta na ginawa ng isang female opm artist...

FYI... Just want to tell you guys that Nina is not the genuine first filipina diamond awardee... Diamond Record Award is equivalent to 10 times platinum or 200 000 copies sold... In 1993, Regine Velasquez album, Listen Without Prejudice was realeased Across Asia.. It contains original songs. It sold more than 250 000 copies, equivalent to more than 12 times platinum... It was awarded in less two years after its commercial realeased..

Bakit ba hindi nyo mantanggap na mas mataas ang sales ng nina live sa R2K? kung gusto nyo e d bigyan nyo din ng daimond award si Regine. ang mahirap kasi sa inyo puro kayo claims wala namang evidences. UNG KAY NINA genuinely true na 10X platinum. ung 12X platinum ni Regine, imbento nyo lang.

to iJonel, if regine's r2k has sold copies up to this date to have diamond award, di na nakapagtaka yun kasi it was released year 2000 pa. almost 10 years na...don't compare it to nina live kasi cd pa lang, it has sold 300,000+ copies na and i have a link to show you as a proof...take note, di pa counted ang nina live dvd which has sold out more than 30,000 units. and take note ulit, nina live was released 2005...imagine, just 4 years kung ikumpara mo sa 10 years ng r2k

And I thought Nina Live going 8X platinum was the end of it. This is Nina's biggest achievement so far na hindi pa nagagawa ng mga kasabayan nya. And what a great contribution to the OPM industry! ijonel, kasi po, there's wat we call PARI or The Philippine Association of the Record Industry, and fyi, they were the ones who confirmed NINA's diamond record. if REGINE is really the first, they should have not said that nina is the FIRST and ONLY FEMALE OPM ARTIST na nakagawa nun. You think ipapahamak ba nila ang association nila sa pagssbing si NINA ang first kung alam nilang si REGINE pla ang nauna?Gets?

I'm sorry to break the news, but Nina was not the first Filipina to have reached a "diamond award". Regine Velasquez has it for the record, yun nga lang Viva Records has never recognized it. It was the album "R2K".
