As for the silly comments that Zac Brown has a "bad ear," it's obvious that he changed the chords ON PURPOSE. You're allowed to do that when you cover a song...
If ZBB released this as a single, both they and Adams would make money. ZBB would get mechanical (performance) royalties, and Adams would get songwriter royalties (assuming he still has all/some portion of his half of the publishing). Usually songwriter royalties are higher...
I think the song title is actually "I wish you would." Also, the one poster is right; Zac Brown changes some of the chords from the original Ryan Adams version. I listened to both, and I think I actually like Zach's chords better.
@bethyoung225 The only time I've ever gotten a copy was when ZBB did a live recording that could be purchased at the end of the show. My copy is about 4 or 5 years old.
To all the Ryan Adams fans who like to trash Zac Brown Band fans: stop. I do not understand how this cover is so offensive. Why would someone upload 4:29 seconds of DISTORTION? This is one of the most common mistakes I've seen on Youtube. When recording a live band, one must set the input sensitivity level to "LOW" on the respective recording device, or you will squash the signal and end up with something like this. And nothing sounds worse than distorted music. Sorry to say it, but out of respect for the songwriter (Ryan Adams) and performers here, (Zac Brown Band), please can this one!

It's certainly not as good as the original. The emotion isn't as powerful, which is tough to match, especially live. If I had heard it without hearing the original, I would definitely leave thinking,"that's a damn good song."

I've heard a few different ways to do this song. If Zac Brown would've came out with it first you would be opposite. He just sings it good and not boring like Ryan does.

@jrbj2000 Yes, there are right chords . . . A man named David Ryan Adams wrote the song Come Pick Me Up with a certain chord progression and those are the right chords. If this Zac Brown character doesn't have the ear to pick up those chords then I have no idea how he became this successful.

Not to mention Ryan Adams has no top hit singles that would be the reason why he isn't popular other than he married Mandy Moore who also sings better than him by the way.

Also there is no comparison because in this case Zac Brown is the only on with hits. You have to have musical skill to have hits so your comment has no point.

And hits have nothing to do with musical talent. Look at what gets popular these days and how bad most of the Top 40 acts sound when they perform live. They even lip-synch.

It's certainly not as good as the original. The emotion isn't as powerful, which is tough to match, especially live. If I had heard it without hearing the original, I would definitely leave thinking,"that's a damn good song."

I like the cover, but the harmonic structure isn't right. They're playing a D chord in a lot of the places where Ryan's band plays an Am chord.

now if only zac brown band could write songs like this. i might actually like them... ryan adams version is better though. more subdued and i think the lynrd skynrdesque guitar solo at 1:20 doesn't really fid that well. reminds me of an article i read on no depression magazine's website about how, "country" is the new 80's hair metal.
