  • Zac Brown destroyed this song.

  • he's ruining by going to that dumb ass fucking minor chord 2nd in the chorus. It stays major and it makes the song.

  • You all are fucking insane, yes, ryan adams is the original writer of this song, and you can't get better than his. He wrote it and there's something special about the way he does it. BUT CALM THE FUCK DOWN, zac brown obviously appreciates his music, and its not terrible. it's simplistic but i mean, maybe he doesn't want to change Ryan Adam's song too much for a fucking reason. Good job Zac Brown, good choice in a song to cover.

  • Can someone tell those bitches to stfu?

  • this is a complete fucking travesty to Ryan Adams . Way to fuck it Zack Brown.

  • @ruazombie881

Not as bad as fucking up the spelling of Zac's name when it's right at the top of the page.

  • @JoeDoakes1015 LOL That asshole does not deserve to have his name spelled correctly. Now go enjoy your cold beer on a fucking Friday night.

  • this version of the song is way better than the original in my opinion

  • @trob2332 ROTFL MFAO. What does he do that's better here? Please - it's the same treatment, nothing original at all here. He's playing the fucking jukebox.

Ryan's song has a million hits. ZB his wildest fucking dreams won't come close to being Ryan Adams. RA's discography is amazing with his song writing being amongst the best of those working today. Fucking Zach Brown's version is better. Someone put one behind my fucking ear - and put me outta my fucking misery.

  • @JustJake57

Zac Brown 2 Platinum A lbums out of 2. Ryan Adams 11 albums 0 Platinum Albums.

Zac Brown 8 #1 Singles out of 9. Ryan Adams 0 #1 Singles out of 15

Dude get of Ryan Adams Balls and get some fresh air. If it wasn't for Mandy Moore no one would even know who he was... Also, if it wasn't for Zac Brown singing this song no one in Country would know who he was. A American Idol contestant Sang this song and No Judges knew who Ryan was, That's Cold Hard Facts.

  • @jrbj2000 Cold hard fact is... Zac Brown knows who he is....

  • Comment removed

  • @crazycoonz15 Damn right he does

  • Apple is celebrating its anniversary on Youtube! Anyone on You Tube who sees this and texts APPLE to the number 4 6 7 8 6 get a special gift from Apple!

  • @KogutManos5 hi, this number is a complete one? or do i need to do on a cell phone?

  • u r so sexy!!!

  • @mmtumbleweeds Just looked at Ryan Adams' website. I stand corrected; the song title is "Come Pick Me Up." Thank you.

  • @futureboy111 That's okay. I did the same thing before I replied.

  • As for the silly comments that Zac Brown has a "bad ear," it's obvious that he changed the chords ON PURPOSE. You're allowed to do that when you cover a song...

  • If ZBB released this as a single, both they and Adams would make money. ZBB would get mechanical (performance) royalties, and Adams would get songwriter royalties (assuming he still has all/some portion of his half of the publishing). Usually songwriter royalties are higher...

  • I think the song title is actually "I wish you would." Also, the one poster is right; Zac Brown changes some of the chords from the original Ryan Adams version. I listened to both, and I think I actually like Zach's chords better.

  • @futureboy111 Come Pick Me Up is the Ryan Adams title track

  • Where can I buy this version of this song?? Anyone know??

  • @bethyoung225 The only time I've ever gotten a copy was when ZBB did a live recording that could be purchased at the end of the show. My copy is about 4 or 5 years old.

  • Great cover of one of my favorite songs. Well done!.

  • To all the Ryan Adams fans who like to trash Zac Brown Band fans: stop. I do not understand how this cover is so offensive. It's certainly faster than the version on Heartbreaker, but other than that it's pretty faithful. So what if someone likes this better than the original? Reverting to calling them a "redneck retard" is asinine, but I wouldn't expect anything else from youtube comments. Brown is certainly not as tasteful as Adams 9 out of 10 times, but let him enjoy the music you do.

  • @PedrotheWombat ZAC Brown could sing any song he wants and he picked this one. He obviously is a fan of the song himself. It's a live performance and like most, it has bad sound. It's a shame you can't hear a song like this on the radio. It would have and should have been a hit for Ryan Adams or Zac Brown. I encourage everyone to look thru the Ryan Adams catalog of music.

  • for all the idiots out there that DO believe zac brown wrote this song....NEWS FLASH!!!

Come Pick Me Up was written by Ryan Adams and Van Alston...

(i may not know much, but i do know my music).....

  • @emilywright0826 News flash. I recorded it. I know that. I am tired of the comments. so GET OVER IT! ALL OF YOU! I DON'T CARE.

    MMTUMBLEWEEDS

  • @emilywright0826 PLEASE READ DECRIPTION WHICH STATES "WRITTEN BY RYAN ADAMS"

  • i'm not dissing zac brown band, but this song should only and i mean ONLY be performed by the great Mr. Ryan Adams...just sayin.....

  • what ever its Ryans song, love Zac Brown band but they sound like the Oak Ridge boys on crack singing the chorus, horrible! but if it was a single Ryan would laugh all the way to the bank not them

  • Why would someone upload 4:29 seconds of DISTORTION? This is one of the most common mistakes I've seen on Youtube. When recording a live band, one must set the input sensitivity level to "LOW" on the respective recording device, or you will squash the signal and end up with something like this. And nothing sounds worse than distorted music. Sorry to say it, but out of respect for the songwriter (Ryan Adams) and performers here, (Zac Brown Band), please can this one!

  • Lmao, guess I lost my argument when I realized the guy that posted it really thought they wrote it. My bad.

  • Zac Brown wrote this and gave it to Ryan Adams. Now Zac is taking it back.

  • yeah im not talking about him singing it or Zac brown band..... haha... I know that you dont like his verson but with Randy Rogers sings it.. its 100 times better then this video..

  • @ mmtumbleweeds---- do you think you can get Randy Togers Version of this? Randy Rogers has the best one out of all of them. Randy Rogers blows This one out of the park.

  • @derekmungia Frankly, I hate the Ryan Adams version .

  • yeah this is like a disgrace to ryan adams

  • And by the way, the title of this video is totally incorrect. Come Pick Me Up is not BY Zac Brown. You should probably acknowledge the real writer in the comments at the very least.

  • @hombre3000 Goos point. I had never heard anyone but ZBB perform this when I posted it almost 3 years ago. Then I had no idea who else performed it, much less wrote it. I can fix that.

    Thanks

    M

  • @mmtumbleweeds Good man.

  • @hombre3000 You mean, "good woman". LOL. That's okay.

    Merry Christmas

  • @mmtumbleweeds Oops!

  • @hombre3000 Good point. I had never heard anyone but ZBB perform this when I posted it almost 3 years ago. Then I had no idea who else performed it, much less wrote it. I can fix that.

    Thanks

    M

  • @hombre3000 And yeah it is by Zac Brown on this video. You're an idiot.

  • @jbird0524 The song was written by Ryan Adams. This video portrays Zac Brown covering Ryan Adam's song.

  • this cover is fucked up...some songs should never be covered...this is embarrassing

  • @MarkAcoustic1962 I think the original is boring. To each his own.

  • @mmtumbleweeds Yeah I know right, the original is all slow and you can fall asleep before it is over. Not to mention I never heard of the Adams guy until Zac Brown sang this song. Thanks for the post

  • @MarkAcoustic1962 lets just see how bad we can make the god Ryan Adams look. These Stupid REDNECKS!!!!!!!!!

  • I wish you would . . . use the right chords.

  • @hombre3000 What is wrong with the ones here?

  • @jrbj2000 They aren't the same chords Ryan plays.

  • @hombre3000 And your point is..... It is a cover/remake it isn't supposed to be identical. It would be pretty stupid to do it the same identical way as the other guy. There is no wrong chords. I've heard a few different ways to do this song. If Zac Brown would've came out with it first you would be opposite. He just sings it good and not boring like Ryan does.

  • @jrbj2000 Yes, there are right chords . . . A man named David Ryan Adams wrote the song Come Pick Me Up with a certain chord progression and those are the right chords. If this Zac Brown character doesn't have the ear to pick up those chords then I have no idea how he became this successful.

  • @hombre3000 It don't matter who wrote the song. Beings how I have never heard of Ryan Adams and he has been around since the 90's and Zac Brown only a couple years I guess his ear is damn good. Not to mention Ryan Adams has no top hit singles that would be the reason why he isn't popular other than he married Mandy Moore who also sings better than him by the way.

  • @jrbj2000 This is not about popularity, it's about basic musical skill and being able to pick out chords from a recording. I really would rather not get into comparisons of hit singles and the rest of the superficial crap.

  • @hombre3000 Your the one that put popularity in play. You said you don't know how he is so successful. If you are successful then you are popular. Sorry I picked on your Idol. He is boring and ain't that good. I had to force myself to make it through half his version of the song and then so I wouldn't judge him on just one song I had to force myself to make it through another song. Dude the guy don't have it. At least he has a loyal fan, with you. There is a plus. Have a good life

  • @jrbj2000 I'm not talking about whether or not I like Zac Brown, I'm saying he's got the wrong chords. All I've said is that he has a bad ear. I believe you're the one that keeps talking about Ryan being boring which is totally subjective and irrelevant.

  • @hombre3000 Rotfl, ok ok I'm tired of wasting my time with you. Whatever!! Yeah ok Ryan Adams is so full of talent and he has such a good ear and stuff like that. He just never had a top hit or even a hit and you never hear him on the radio or see him at music award shows. But, he has a lot of talent and he at least he will keep that ear out there lmao. Keep up the good work Ryan... Peace

  • @jrbj2000 That's not the point I was proving at all. Just talking about Zac's ear and wrong chords. Have a good one.

  • @hombre3000

He also doesn't have the lyrics entirely correct. The song is countryfied for the teabaggers but at least they get to hear the genius of Adams.

  • @hombre3000 You don't know how they became so successful? It's called you can listen to both there album without skipping a track because they all sound good. By the way the title is fine it was Zac Brown singing it at the Handle Bar not Ryan Adams and if you read under the video she wrote it was a cover. Your just making yourself sound like a douchebag but, it is all good. To each his own. The original is still boring.

  • @jrbj2000 Dude she edited that after I commented telling her to . . so I think you're the douchebag this time, buster.

  • @hombre3000 No, not really beings how it says 2008. The word cover was on there last week we I first saw the video and the first time I even heard of Ryan Adams. Also there is no comparison because in this case Zac Brown is the only on with hits. You have to have musical skill to have hits so your comment has no point.

  • @jrbj2000 Read the comments from 3 days ago between me and the poster of the video. I can't prove what the description said when but I can tell you there was no attribution until I commented and the poster changed the description ("I can fix that").

And hits have nothing to do with musical talent. Look at what gets popular these days and how bad most of the Top 40 acts sound when they perform live. They even lip-synch.

  • @hombre3000 Lol, dude Milli Vanilli was 20yrs ago. Get over it. I don't care about the Top 20 or Ryan Seacrest. I can read, she added Ryan Adams, big deal. You can obviously. I said the word COVER was there last week and the face she wrote that 2yrs ago goes without saying. You have to have talent to produce a hit. You are being an idiot to try to ignore that fact.

  • RANDY ROGERS BAND!!!!!!! The best version of the song

  • fuck this shit. sickening.

i almost contracted aids listening to this fuck up.

you say this version is better then ryans?

    BOBBYDCOOCGCOINzg?

    your a fucking redneck retard.

  • amazing cover:D:D:D

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i think zac brown could do an amazing version of this song, if he just stripped it down to him and his guitar. no 20 backup singers, lead guitar, nothin. still a good version though

  • @thebarrymiles This version is before he was famous. It's just the regular, 5 members of the band doing it the same way I've been hearing it for the past 6 years.

  • @thebarrymiles then it wouldn't be a band ehh it ain't all that easy to just go on ur own after the respect u earn an give ur band (FRIENDS)

  • YouTube is full of so many Music critics... You all just need to set back and enjoy the music.. And stop judging all the muscians and songs on here...

  • some Zac Brown Bamd most of ya prolly never heard

  • Soooooooooo much better than the original. Zac Brown could sing the ABC song and fill it with his musical genius.

  • I think the ZBB version is a hundred times better. Ryan Adams is a great writer but Zac Brown has him 100 times over on performance.

  • Zac brown bands version is much better than ryan adams, I downloaded Ryans first and had to be woke up when the song was over, sounds like he was ready to pass out

  • there is definitely more emotion in the ryan adams version.

  • It's certainly not as good as the original. The emotion isn't as powerful, which is tough to match, especially live. If I had heard it without hearing the original, I would definitely leave thinking,"that's a damn good song."

  • @DeepDishPeteza I've heard both versions, and to me, Ryan Adams just leaves me cold, but that's just me.

  • @mmtumbleweeds Randy Rogers Band has the best version of this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @tylersabadasssss Well, I think you're an ass whose comments will be promptiy deleted, and you are being blocked as a user.

  • I like the cover, but the harmonic structure isn't right. They're playing a D chord in a lot of the places where Ryan's band plays an Am chord.

  • ★★★★★

  • zac brown band rocks!!!!!!

  • posers.

  • fun songs!

  • @potatoewarrior what the fuck does that mean you piece of shit go light your self on fire and never comment ever agian

  • @potatoewarrior meant to say good songs

  • screw anyone who thinks zac brown didnt kill it on this song. amazing cover. and his biggest hit may be called chicken friend but its about enjoying all the small things in life and appreciating what you have. one of the realest singers ive ever known a real simple man. unlike all the other bs we have on the radio these days.

  • RANDY ROGERS BAND is better

  • now if only zac brown band could write songs like this. i might actually like them... ryan adams version is better though. more subdued and i think the lynrd skynrdesque guitar solo at 1:20 doesn't really fid that well. reminds me of an article i read on no depression magazine's website about how, "country" is the new 80's hair metal.

  • @mcboltron You haven't been following ZBB very long, if you've only heard him as country. LOL

  • @mmtumbleweeds no mr tumble. i know them as "country" which is to say they play pop/rock, but they use strategic "fiddle" placements to trick people into thinking that it's any different than pop or rock. the nashville sound is not country sir.

  • @mmtumbleweeds also, did you not see where i compared them to 80s hair metal? nowhere did i catagorize ZBB as country, because they aren't and neither is toby keith or kenny chesney or ryan adams anymore for that matter.

  • @mcboltron shit they got a few good songs and they are at least talented unlike certian pop country bands

  • @mcboltron He's only written or had a hand in writing his bands last 6 #1 hits. I guess you could teach him a thing or two about song writing. Why don't you contact him....

  • This version is much better then ryan adams, ryan adams sounds like a dying puppy

  • What the hell! In my sets I always cover Rays Jolene and Ryans Come Pick Me Up. You would think with his great taste in music his most popular song wouldn't be some trash about Fried Chicken.

  • I would like to know if anyone know how many ppl sing this song? I now know of five bands that have covered this song can anyone name any for me?

  • Everyone covers Ryan Adams. A lot of people cover his When The Stars Go Blue. It's sad he isn't as recognized. His whole discography is amazing.

  • Im not pickin favorites but both Ryan and Zac could learn somethin from eachother on this song.

  • I would deff buy this album!! I love the way he sings it better than the other two guys that sing it!!

  • great job, tell that croud to shut the f up! disrespect... worst thing about performing for drunk people!

  • very good job. The first time I heard this song it was by Randy Rogers and Brady Black of the "Randy Rogers Band" after one of their shows on top of the "Innkpper" in Wharton, Texas.

  • This is a great cover. You've performed it very heartfelt. I'd love to hear this version as an mp3 at somepoint. i'd buy this cover

  • badass cover of the song!!

  • This sounds so much better than the original, and has a great message!

  • I heard this version first and like it way better than any other version I've heard after.

  • Me too.

  • bust out the harmonica man! woot.

  • do it son!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i like their version better, hands down

  • Kinda like this version better. It is more fun, the original seemed so depressing to me. But what do I know, just my opinion . . .

  • I agree.

  • @opiethecat the original is supposed to be depressing. don't get me wrong, i like this version, but not near as much as the ryan adams version.

  • @opiethecat "The orginal seemed so depressing," are you kidding me? Have you listened to the lyrics? It's supposed to be depressing.

  • It's a Ryan Adams song...It's on his Heartbreaker album

  • I heard this song ages ago in somebody's truck. I just found the piece of paper I wrote the artists name and the song on and now I can't find where to download or buy this song...can anyone help?

  • @iPodKiller I downloaded it on limewire.

  • The only thing that bothers me is that he added a verse of his own, which is fine but I just don't like his added verse. Better than other country covers of RA work. *cough* Tim Mcgraw's When the Stars Go Blue *cough*

  • love it

  • I guess it matters what your in the mood for, the Ryan Adams version I have is a live bootleg the day he wrote it, sings it with lots of emotion, Randy Rogers version is great as a f*&^ off version, great for the bar

    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • When is the Spanish version coming out?

  • I think Zac Brown Band's version is wayyyy better than Ryan Adam's. I got my hands on the recorded version with a bit better audio quality and i dont think there's any comparison.. Zac Brown hands down.

  • not bad...not ryan adams, but not bad...

  • If you can't say something nice, shut up!

  • lol

my dad always told me to be honest and tell the truth.....

  • You don't have to use profanity

  • Outstanding music. EVERY freekin song

  • I was looking for the Superchunk song.

  • That was fukkin incredible. these guys ever tour in Vancouver?

  • I also agree this is better than Ryan Adams version!

  • disagree. the fact that Ryan even wrote/composed that song shows is enough to top. This is a great version but, come on, you can't top an original like that.

  • Better than Ryan Adams :D

  • Cool. I'll have to check the site.

  • wow the course sounds like the Oak Ridge boys!!! I cant imagine anyone thinking this is better than Ryan Adams!!! I do love their new song though, Thats why I looked them up, but they should stick to their own songs!

  • way better than ryan adams!

  • Like these guys but NO way its better than ryan Adams doing it live, come on get a grip!!!!

  • best version ever, these guys rule!!

  • Zac Brown does this song better!!!!! man i'd love to have it on a cd......makes me wanna take a drank

  • makes me wanna take a dumb
