I used xvidcap. I downloaded and installed an rpm... but now I use smart and a large set of repositories... and xvidcap is in there. I'll try to look up the link that you can load all the repos into smart in one step.

Beryl runs beautifully on my mid-end acer laptop. I doubt Vista would even run smoothly on this thing. Vista is a joke.

Try Compiz, it works better than Beryl and it's more stable.
