I've never appreciated any songwriter more. I only came to love and play the piano after learning your song "Right Here Waiting" and playing it for a girl I had a crush on in the 7th grade. Now it's over 20 years later and I'm still playing keyboards, thanks to you. In fact, while unemployed, it's been my only income since we got some lucky gigs playing for the navy. As far as writing, your material is the gold standard. I just want to say thanks for the inspiration.

i agree richard - Ready to Fly is the most powerful song ever recorded... No one could have possibly sung it better than you.. I listen to it daily for the inspiration it gives off...

Wasn't 'right here waiting' a one-take song as well, I remember reading about it some years back and ur friend Bruce (can't spell his last name but starts with a G, hence not willing to pull at that 'string') said that he heard u sing the song from the begining to end on the first take and it was just like it appears on the record... would love ur input on that please if u may
