  • Jay you seriously have the best Channel cat videos on Youtube, none other compare. i got a question tho, when you run your stinger hooks what size are they? i run a Laser sharp 2 glow, do you think that will have the same success as yours?

  • @catfishin7 you should do fine. i like to try different setups. sometimes one hook to begin with, then if you keep getting robbed go to that stinger hook.i also like to run a bigger first hook then smaller 2nd hook . i really appreciate your great comment!! keep checking out RODS IN THE DIRT BRO!!! new winter cat videos coming!

  • you all have some beautiful fishing spots

  • @metalvenom85 thanks brother its all about over 25 years fishing and knowing where to be and when!!!

  • nice fish great vid

  • nice intro. really nice cats!! hey jay so is it better to use fresh liver or dose it work better when its old.

  • @undergroundfishing it depends some spots the nastier the liver the better, then some spots they want it as fresh as possible you just have to try both and see what works best.

  • @RodsInTheDirt sweet! tnx jay

  • Now that's what I'm talking about buddy! Those were some VERY nice cats! Now ya got me dying to get out ;-) Guess I know what my plans are tonight hehe. Take good care Jay......

  • I couldn't even hold a fish UP of that size! WHAT A CHANNEL

  • Hey man those were some monster channel cats, if your a fan of big channel cats, have you ever considered fishing Willard reservoir in north central Ohio? Bait, chicken livers, frozen cooked jumbo shrimp, night crawlers is all you need. Fish from shore with lighted slip bobbers or just on the bottom but the bobbers will give you much better success because the res. is very weedy. A good depth to start at with slip bobbers would be 10 to 12 feet.

  • Nice cats Jay! I wish there was cats that big where I live!

  • once again, great video!! really proper sized cats!!

...i was fishing earlier tonight and caught 2 blues and a channel. 2 of the fish had about quarter sized flesh wounds that were bleeding and made me wonder...at first i thought they might have gotten these cuts from thrashing about after being hooked but there isn't much cover in the water for them to injure themselves on and plus i reeled them in quickly so that they were near the surface once i had them on...what are your thoughts on this?

  • @azurenscens lamprey

  • @azurenscens i dont know for sure. could it be battle wounds with other fish. maybe tumors. just not sure, just hope it isnt something that catches to other fish.

  • @RodsInTheDirt yeah, me too. someone told me it could be some kind of parasite. let's hope not...thanks for responding.
