Friedman = greatest thinker of the last 100 years. The Austrians have utterly failed at communicating a message in my opinion (things that are common sense to us, are dumbfounding to most in society). Keynesians have won in the court of public opinion.
Friedman is the best voice of free markets we've had. He knew what the real message was, how free market principles help the every man, not something the every man was likely to never encounter. We can use more Friedman.
President Obama and the nurses in Philidelphia watch the 4 minute mark and learn the errors of your ways. Tea Party Members: subscribe to LibertyPen and watch all Milton Friedman's programs. Make sure we elect representaives who believe in Friedman's answers and beliefs.
One thing i love about this man is his objectivity. Most jews would never give Germany credit for anything. That is why i consider him a free think. I was in an arguement with someone because i called him a philosopher.
Everyone I know outside of the debating club I go to could be described as a socialist. Some people I know wonder why the government doesn't pass a law that would make everything free of any cost. They are insane they don't understand greed.
Haha, I remember that argument. It sounds like something I would have thought of when I was ten or so. But even then when I thought of something like that I had a feeling it was completely wrong but I just couldn't explain why. Then I heard about this thing called economics....
As counter-intuitive as some free market arguments seem, I think people have somewhat of an intuitive grasp of economics.

The President is selected, not elected.

I think there are three main problems with most people's "common sense" thinking-
1. They think that the government passing a law will necessarily effect a positive change.
2. They think that the state is always the most well-organised and benevolent agent of change.
3. They confuse "society" with the state.

@Myndir My friend you are absolutely right on the money! .. This is the problem with today's Western civilization.

@Myndir Number 3 is the most crucial one. It's what "allows" socialists to claim that their laws correspond to human nature as a "social" being.

Government always seeks to blame free people and free markets for the economic damage that government manipulation has caused.

They did a voice over of him right at that point. The added word was "scars" but his lips clearly did not reflect that. What did he say?
It looks like he said "shit".
